I read the title and thought they were finally allowing for cross-platform play...

And this has been another episode of "When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong"

OMG MICROSOFT IS CLEARLY PAYING TOYS R US BECAUSE NO HUMAN BEING ON EARTH CAN POSSIBLE HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION FROM ME UNLESS THEY'RE BEING PAID TO

Going with this one:

Or not:

"This isn't Japan. The room is too damn big."

I thought this commercial was just timed with the start of the next NFL season. Like that was their entire thought process for doing it, because the console is still months off.

To be fair, though, it's only a stigma with the "hardcore gamers on the Internet" crowd - which is a very tiny minority compared to the size of CoD's market. They probably can't care less if the haters don't even try it on account of the brand, they never were the target audience in the first place.

ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN MOTHER FUCKERS CHOO CHOO

Not entirely sure what you're getting at here. I don't think anybody expected apps to pull sports data directly from a live video broadcast from cable/satellite. That's absurd. You cant pass that kind of data in the signal itself. Unless you expect the xbox one to do realtime audio/video text recognition would would

Both consoles will sell a lot. Neither one is going to "fail" or have a "shit" launch.

Calling out clichés is so cliché. It's probably the most over-used, misappropriated word in the amateur critic's vocabulary. If the final product is enjoyable, who cares how many re-used LEGO bricks they used to lay the foundation?

I think a lot of people should also bear in mind that this is being used with the games own art distinct art style so to expect an exact match does seem a little unreasonable.
It would be nice to see a pure tech demo version of this though.

I find it interesting how gamers can complain about Candy Rush yet pine for the days of the arcade...

Guess what a companies' whole job is! TO MAKE MONEY! The sooner you accept that and the fact that nobody is forcing you to buy these things, the sooner you'll find peace.

That's kind of the problem though. As a software engineer we have to be critical, it's that drive that makes us improve what we work on. But as a gamer, at least we have the luxury of saying stuff like. "What the hell is this crap, I want gameplay not graphics! Grrr!" Software is a very thankless job, but the people

Wow the lack of appreciation for this technology (and in general) is harrowing.

"we were consistent in maintaining policies and a model that is fair and in tune with consumer desires"
