I think Wynn, Adelson and Trump are the only individuals who own properties on the strip. I believe the rest of them are corporate owned between Caesar’s Entertainment and MGM Resorts. There are probably a lot of Trump supporters in those corporations but they aren’t like Adelson or Wynn and probably keep their heads

I wonder if that’s what Trump’s weird “people are mixing up DACA and the DREAMers” claim was about, a Fox News tweet says people support protecting DREAMers and he gets into his head that the DREAMers are good but the DACA bill is for some sort of bad immigrants no one gets.

Yeah, there’s a lot of bias that goes into the idea of what makes a “bigger name.” There are so many men who have been given so many extra chances after having several bombs while others are quickly written off as soon as they have one or two misfires. I mean, what was Johnny Depp’s last hit that wasn’t already tied

Yikes. I mean, I guess that makes the change less awful if he doesn’t think the characters he changed to be fat, queer and nonwhite aren’t villains but that’s such a fundamental misunderstanding of the source material, I can’t see this being watchable to anyone who might enjoy a reinterpretation of Heathers.

Food shows really took off but there’s been a decent number of shows for either style commentary or fashion reality shows.

A former boss oddly didn’t like Ferrero Rocher, which I find odd because they’re delicious. I learned this after one Christmas when a work colleague gave her a huge gift pack of Ferrero Rochers and she put it out by the candy jar outside her office. Eventually, the guy who gave them to her comes by, stops and is

Actually how about a reboot of the PBS House shows? Post-Apocalyptic Zombie House. It’d be like Frontier House but they have to also avoid zombies.

I don’t really need a cure, I think I would have stuck with TWD if it were capable of exploring the idea of people rebuilding society (with the understanding that their treatment of the dead have to be treated differently) and maybe making some slow progress along the way. I know you can’t turn TWD into a drama about

Yeah, I think a lot of those things suggest she either doesn’t have that sense of skepticism necessary to sniff out a bullshit artist or she’s willing to go along with a con when she sees the upside for herself. Neither are qualities I want in a president.

I know that feeling. I’m starting to think that any time I’ve liked a male creator’s work but felt like he was terrible at putting together a fully realized female character, I should be ready to reevaluate their work. At least, that’s how I’m feeling about Master of None, which was really good if you make an

Sigh. I was excited when I read the headline. I was all ready to go, “Hell yeah Oprah is part of the problem, she’s been giving airtime and excuses to charlatans similar to how the media kept giving airtime and excuses to Trump.”

IMO, it’s less about the extra-marital affair as the hush money payout and the security concerns that brings up but even then there are worse issues. Still, I think this might be the first time we’ve learned about him spending money to keep something secret, which means that there stuff foreign agents can use against

Please remember to dismiss the trolls.

I’ve been listening to a podcast about Watergate and a recent episode mentioned how Nixon’s defenders were quick to bring up Ted Kennedy’s car accident on Chappaquiddick and how that was worse than anything Nixon did (which he didn’t do anyway). That made me realize why the fully indoctrinated were so fixated on that

Adorable privilege. See also Mr Peanutbutter and Todd.

Good point.

So, ultimately, this is going to cost him a lot more than $1.5M in bad PR.

Its not like Versace’s murder is historically relevant the way Amelia Earhart or Anne Frank’s stories are.

I think what further romanticizes Farrow’s part of the story is he comes from a famous family who were part of the public education on abuse. Farrow denies that it’s part of his motivation but there’s a strong urge in the media to see him as Inigo Montya, taking down one abuser to prevent more abuse like what happened

I kinda wonder if this is more about the network change. Schadenfreude reality TV was more Fox’s thing with shows like Joe Millionaire (and that absolute cringe second season), The Swan and whatever their Wife Swap ripoff was. The humiliation auditions were a fit for a Fox reality show but ABC’s reality shows lighten
