I call BS on that it isn’t habit forming. It only makes sense if you flood your body with extra sleep inducing hormones, it’s probably going to get used to that new elevated level eventually.

A hot take. I can’t fight you on Joy of Cooking and the others, but Allrecipes drives me crazy. Every single commenter making a million substitutions and changes and rating it 5 stars even though they did not remotely make the recipe written. I also find it overwhelming to read through 10 “perfect pancake” recipes and

Herdez Roasted Salsa Roja Medium is the staple salsa in my household.

This is brilliant. I agree completely that browned butter tends to get lost.

I lived in the midwest until 5 years ago and had never heard of the zipper merge until I moved away. So maybe that would be a place to start. Here you are getting all frustrated at drivers not using a technique they have probably never heard of.

TIL! I didn’t know how flexible the sizing was for different fruits.

A citrus reamer has been one of the better additions to my kitchen. I find it works well for lemons and limes. I was resistant to the elbow juicers because I would have to have one for limes and one for lemons, and they’re quite bulky. I do have a electric juicer on standby if I am doing big batch cocktails.

From what I can find, aluminum cans contain 70% recycled content. This is huge and counts for a lot imo. Yes, plastic bottles are recyclable but we are at the point where no one wants plastic scrap material.

Glass is so cheap some places have stopped recycling it.

You’re not wrong, but I feel like medical professions lie to adults too about pain. “Slight pinch” being the #1 offender.

People will always complain. Last July my company gave everyone a 5% raise. People complained because it wasn’t the $0.25/hr they are used to (it was more, but math). In January, everyone got a $2000 raise. People complained. We got a $400 bonus at Christmas. People complained because it had been more in the past. See

There is a wide range of hair services you can buy and some of it is location also. When I lived in a small midwestern city I paid about $30 for a haircut. Now I am in a higher COL area I can’t find a haircut for less than $45

I love me a good bar too. Clif’s nut butter stuffed bars are my jam right now. I also like werther’s caramels on planes.

I save the oil and put it back in the container it came in.

I’ve made a couple recipe that call for sauteing butternut squash. “8-10 minutes” they say. Bald faced lies! Why do recipe writers do us like that?

Why is there no picture of the actual packaging being discussed here? That would be extremely helpful. Are we talking the bubble mailers? Or the unpadded plastic bags?

Per the abstract from that study:
“Notably, our results do not show that menstrual cups are safer than tampons and suggest that they require similar precautions.”

I’ve actually made powdered refried beans at home for camping meals. Just add water and poof!

My health insurer actually has services set up through MD Live and AmWell. I have not used them but they seem convenient!
