What a horrendous waste of time, money, and energy. The fact that there is a scene where they "explain" the smurfs' names (after their traits) and their use of the word "smurf" in their speech is proof enough that this movie has no reason to exist.

Sweet idea, and Mr. Forbes seems like a fun guy for making it, but still a bit crude to get excited about. Let me know when I can wear an HD version of Fantasia to work and I'll pre-order.

Sorry, but this map (and the Fillory map) are not beautiful at ALL to me. They are middle school art projects. And really..Chambers spent "ages" on the sloth? Because its so beautifully or stylistically rendered?? WTF?

Is it a prerequisite that she dress like Ellen Brody to touch the shark?

An alternative theory is that after having some much deserved time away from her, Hollywood realized that Jessica Alba is in fact an awful actress, and shoddy Nickelodeon style roles was all she is appropriate for.

Try "Battle Royale"...the japanese novel, instead.

Its "Battle Royale"... its based on a really excellent novel of the same name..highly recommended.

No.

Ugh. I thought "Monsters" reflected its lack of a budget pretty severely and was driven completely mad by the awful acting. The premise was promising, but thats all it was...a premise, with the actual story struggling really hard to make something of it.

Fucking Hell that was awful!

I really want to see "into eternity" but its still in REALLY limited engagements...ie festival circuits. I wrote to the distribution company to see if it will play publicly in Los Angeles sometime soon and they assured me they would be adding dates. Has anyone actually SEEN this movie? I'm very curious...it looks

The problem is that the kids are being dragged along for the ride. They are the pawns to A) get Ark Music rich, and B) provide misguided parenting with an outlet. So although Ark may not have any real goal or delusions of actually breaking a star, nobody is going to tell the kid that or the whole framework fails.

To be nitpicky, that'd have to be rephrased as "Francis Ford Coppola's Eiko Ishioka's Bram Stoker's Dracula."

Really? You're not going to see a science fiction movie for the "one simple reason" that your preconceived idea of what alien cappabilities/decision-making would be is not represented? Wow. I'm curious then, what science fiction do you shamelessy enjoy? Because if its all hard science, all the time, its usually

Not sure that "authentic American" is synonymous with blue-collar anymore. I can see how that may have historically been the case, but "American-made" is now more of an adage to nationalism and a rejection of imports rather than an economic division. Its an attempt to localize the product, which has (though for very

I dont agree at all with the statement that Black Swan was a "horror" movie. In fact reading that here is the first time I've heard mention of it that way. Its a pretty cut and dry thriller, not a horror, and slamming those two categories together as a catch all is a mistake. The fact that it has some disturbing

What would be ironic about that? Its pretty straight forward.
