Speaking of giants... why is every photo on the io9 main page blown way up and shitty quality? It looks like a website circa '95 at the moment.

I loved the ideas and the mood of "River of Gods"...it was a fun reading experience... but I sure hope they can hash out some actual story arcs and a fitting ending for a movie version or its just going to be a nonsensical visual experiment.

Am I the only one that sees a 40 year old woman kissing a 15 year old in that photo?

The Jawa sound board is delightful.

WHERE are the reply notifications???! Do they exist yet? Maybe I'm being dense and just cant find them, or maybe nobody is interested in poor taco-flavored-kisses anymore....? I just dont know!!!

Rather than to expect multi-hundred-million dollar productions to go away, simply because studios are not profiting with optimal percentages is not the only answer. There is still the option to make LESS big budget pictures and allocate the rest of the funds to MORE small budget films; films that lose less when they

Aww, what about the Cygnus from "The Black Hole"? It managed to be medieval, retro, and incredibly spacious at the same time. And the multi level control deck seemed like a great place for after hour cocktails.

These are awesome.

I didnt like the book at all. I read it years ago when it first came out, with high hopes because everyone raved about it. It felt like a huge letdown.

God I hate Seth Rogan. So much. So, probably not.

@Evafortuna: I might also argue however that painting what is essentially already available as a photographic work, although commendable in technique, is also not very impressive.

Bravo for losing the weight, but maybe spend some of that cash on seeing a shrink as well, for addressing what is clearly an obsession on the brink of disaster...

@screemname: So you like your science fiction to be void of imaginary scenarios then?.... thats um...interesting....

@TheGreat&PowerfulTurtle: No, I'm not missing the point. If the aesthetic of the sculptures is secondary to the establishment of a reef where there is none, then form would follow function not the other way around. So no, that is not the whole point of the piece.

So...Sam's hair got blonder as he aged? Its usually the reverse of that... or is the young hero a frequent salon customer?

Well, I checked out all of the photo galleries of projects he has posted on his website, and my conclusion is this:
