I think that’s what I find interesting. I’ve heard of it in basically unverifiable form for years, floating around since at least 2011 or so, with specific reference to the GOP, NRA, and a couple think tanks like Heritage.

I find it very interesting that this story is only really coming up on the radar now. When I was around the beltway, this was something of a spook story I would hear every once in a while. Basically foreign money getting lost in the thicket of opaque campaign finance laws.

Some people grow out of it.

The Atlantic’s boards got particularly bad in the last 2 years. Happy I got in while they were still somewhat civil and the conversation was good.
