Others have answered your question, but I'll add in that there's an element of distance involved, too. If you film someone from 100 feet, you're fine. If you walk up to someone and stick a camera in their face, you're going to need them to sign a release.

And...? From a photographer viewpoint, this is a fantastic photo, and worthy of the cover. The viewer may draw the conclusion that a dunk was made; similarly, a viewer may draw the conclusion that a great block was made. And, finally, a viewer in the know will know that a foul was committed.

Nope. You're in public, so you have no reasonable expectation of privacy. Essentially, if you're in a place accessible to the public, they can photograph and/or video you and use that footage on TV.

Glad I wasn't the only one who had that song jump into my head right away. Loved listening to Dr. Demento. I still sing "Let's Blow Up The Tow Truck", and absolutely love Da Yoopers "Fishin' Wit Fred" ()

Or he could stop posting pics that cause people to get angry at him flaunting his wealth. In other words, he could stop being a dbag...

I was out getting something to eat when it happened. Sounded like an electrical issue.

Nuts, I didn't see this QoTD, or else I would have suggested Anne and Charles Lindbergh's Northwest route to the Orient, as chronicled in her book "North To The Orient." Good read.

Not sure if it's the same feed, but from here: http://www.reddit.com/r/wec/comments… you can find some info on how to stream it live and free. Not sure if it's the same feeds, but they should be showing Le Mans there.

Sorry, that's not how it happened. You had the same history classes I did, which are usually incorrect:

Went to high school with an Issac Cox. Seriously. Parent's must've hated him. He was a bully, but in retrospect...can you blame him?

Curse you! I've already been having daydreams about picking up a Suzuki Sidekick 4 door for light trail duty (like the one I used to have), and then you send me on a Google search for the Backcountry Discovery Route, which leads me first here: http://www.backcountrydiscoveryroutes.com/, then here: http://www.oohva.org

One of the reasons I loved the little Suzuki Sidekick 4 door I had: body on frame. Took that thing lots of places.

The most fun I've had off-roading was in a Suzuki Sidekick 4 door. Great little truck, went pretty much anywhere we wanted (except up that one really steep, muddly hill, but nobody made it up there, and I actually made it farther than my buddies Blazer). Quad trails? No problem.

    Holy crap that looks fun.

Back as a single lad, it was my dream to rent/buy basically a garage with an apartment built in. Would have been awesome.

To quote Mother from "Sneakers": Well, you know, I've never actually had a really cool car that I could fit comfortably into. So I think I'm going to buy me a Winnebago. With a big kitchen... waterbed... big kitchen...

I'm with you, but I love the GT Racer series. It's tastefully done, with plenty of engine noise — sometimes, that's all you get. Definitely worth checking out. The video linked above was the "pilot" episode, which just followed two Aston Martins. The actual series follows quite a few more of the teams, and is

For all of those reading that were born after 1995 — "used all his film" is like using up all the memory on your iPhone/camera/jeejah, only you can't simply go in and remove some apps or delete some of your selfies.

May I point you to "GT Racer"? Sure, it has music, but it's well done.
