Looks a lot like the parking lots at various hospitals around the Portland metro area.

Yeah, but c'mon...millions spent, and they can't find $500 for a driver's suit that says the right brand?

They couldn't get him a new driving suit, eh? Still wearing the Citroen one...

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. As a guy who's bent a couple roll cages doing speeds far less than 180mph, I don't put a price on my safety.

And to add to that point, if he would have gone upside down and severely injured himself, then you would have been kissing this event goodbye. I'm all for folks risking their own lives (and only their own lives), that's cool. See "Irish Road Racing" (it's motorcycles, BTW).

Seems foolish, on both the part of the driver AND the organizing body...

Yeah, I'm very surprised that the organizing body allows that. Seems like they're opening themselves up to a whole world of litigation.

I have several bits of free software that are very good at recovering deleted photos from SD cards. Just sayin'...if you want the photos back, it's pretty easy to do.

That's a good point. Timing is everything, right? The time to walk into your boss's office and crack a joke while drinking coffee is probably not when you have a mountain of work to do and angry management...

On the one hand, it's a waste of time/resources/whatever.

Wait, so you're saying it's a coverup?! Goliath really defeated David?

Consider it a modern day David vs. Goliath story. Except on a track, and Goliath is a Lamborghini.

Well, yeah, there's that. I swear, want to kill your confidence in your rear brakes? Check out the little springs holding things together...

You'd be surprised how many new cars have rear drums. In reality, it's not that big of a deal. Sure, discs have better heat dissipation, which helps with brake fade, but honestly you won't notice the difference on most street driven cars.

Here's the rub with that argument, though. You're not doing anything illegal now. But the things you're doing now, might be ruled illegal in the future. And you might get riled up, and want to stage a revolt or something. But the government already has years worth of data on you — in other words, they have the

Maybe I imagined it, but in the video I thought they said he had a brake issue...

Y'all need to watch "Shaken & Stirred," specifically the part where they put the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato (one of 25 built, est. price: $1 mil) backwards into the wall coming out of Eu Rouge. But that's not the worst part...the worst part was when they took a hacksaw to that beautiful body work so they could get it

Oh man...that's what I'd do. Let the insurance total it out, and pay me for it. Most insurance companies will let you buy the car back from them, which I would promptly do. Then I'd cage it. Maybe take it to a LeMons race or 2.

You gotta go with State Farm. My '71 MGB GT gets full coverage, as does my '46 Dodge 1/2 ton. No questions asked.
