    As others said, it's excellent.

Only one way to settle this: Epic Rap Battle

Legal in Oregon, though I run Blizzaks instead (studless ice tires).

    I'm 100% with you.

Wait, sorry, got a wee bit confused. You're talking House of Reps. Well, my original statement still stands. And I think points to just a general stupidness with the way our country does its representation for the people.

The electoral college is stupid and broken anyway. We should go to "every vote counts" instead, then there will be no issue with the folks in Washington D.C.

Hey, it's rally...anything could happen before the end of the event.

Yeah...but he wasn't in a truck when he did it. Endoing cars is common place...endoing a big Dakar truck is impressive.

Best that I can find, btw, is this summary video from Iveco themselves. Covers the aftermath and recovery.

As I said over at Axis of Oversteer when they showed this the other day...this is a good video, but I want to see the in-truck video from when Hans Stacey endod his Iveco truck. That would be an epic video.

That's like telling the cop who stopped you for jaywalking that your name is "Jay Walker." Sooner or later, they're going to catch on.

    (a) It wasn't a race vehicle, it was a support vehicle. The support vehicles are not allowed onto the course that the competitors take (unless they are entered themselves as race vehicles), and thus have to take public roads to reach the bivouacs where they can service the vehicles on the overnight stops.

Ugh, that stinks. I've been following the Race2Recovery guys, as they all appear to be fantastic fellows.

Didn't get the logo, eh? That's alright, the old one is better.

    Yeah, gotta watch those dunes.

I no doubt have a ton of pics somewhere, but here's one that I have at hand. From about...oh, 1999 or so. The small divot in the bumper came from a minor touch with a tree, if I remember correctly. I'm not codriving here, but my brother Mark is driving.

My rally days are from before the widespread use of full-on pace notes, so we didn't really have too much trouble if/when communications broke down.

My dad speaks fondly of his old 2-stroke Saab 96 with factory sunroof. He has 3 other 96's right now, but not the one that got away...

The solution, at least in my wife's Jetta, is to travel more than (I think) 84 mph for 15 seconds, or something like that. That particular action causes the headlights and taillights to automatically come on, and stay on until the car has dropped below 40 mph for a certain amount of time.

There are legal ways around some of that. You should talk to a CPA, find out your options.
