    A) You're not first.

Am I bad for thinking the same thing?

Obviously the only way to ensure your croc boots are of high quality is to do like this fellow, and source the parts yourself.

Oh yeah. I'm actually wearing the Chucks today that I used to wear when I raced. They have a nice, slightly melted spot on the heel of the right shoe, where it rested on the hot metal floor of the rally car.

Heck no, I live in Oregon.

    Now playing

Every time I hear something about boots made of the skin of some animal, I think of this.

Also, don't forget that while they're not cheap, this country made a ton of radial engines during WW2. Sure, many of them are destroyed or at the bottom of an ocean somewhere out in the Pacific. But, while not common, there literally are thousands upon thousands of them out there.

Only 2? You need to head out West. I see 2 per day out here. I've ridden shotgun in a 2nd gen MR2 with 175whp, as the needle swung past 120mph on a small highway.

Excellent breakdown, and your emphasis drives it home. He's not just opposing stricter DUI laws, he's opposing all DUI laws. Including those that are, supposedly, lowering the fatality rate in Montana.

I like how you misspelled "sober." At first, I was all like "hahahaha, that's great, he's pretending to type drunk to make a point." Then I realized it was just a typo.

    (A) If that's a true story from your life, that's scary stuff. Glad everyone made it out. (B) Fantastic comment. COTD worthy.

    A) You don't have to be good to have a good time in rally. Go for it.

In my non-educated-in-such-matters mind, that also could be the result of a mechanical failure, yes? A somewhat controlled crash landing, rather than a "oh crap we're on fire and disintegrating in the sky" type of crash?

Yup. Heck, I live an hour from the Oregon coast, and if a tsunami has a chance of making it over the coast range, I'm building an ark.

So...the way to drive away from a tsunami is all about knowing how to survive when (not if) the tsunami wipes out your car with you in it?

Agreed. My D15B developed a rod knock after the oil intake tube filter became clogged with crap. That was, oh, 350 miles ago. Still goes strong. I figure I'll just drive it until it dies, likely within the year. Maybe.

What's the problem? It met the design criteria.

    Understeer. Gotta love it.

    Good call
