I agree the FD and Z32 look better then the A80 but the 3000GT was just meh IMHO kinda nondescript 90s sports car, and was an also ran compared to all the others.

Exactly my point. Cadillac just started doing it at random and had no rhyme or reason to the nomenclature unlike BMW and MB. like the CT6 why would you pick that as your flagship name?

They did the alpha numeric naming because BMW and MB does it. sorta like in the ‘80s/’90s when marketing folks thought having someone rapping on a commercial was the way to appeal to younger people.

Thunderbolts were based on the smaller Fairlane sedan not the Galaxie. But there was lightweight Galaxie sedans for racing but they were canceled and the Tbolt was born.
