I have ran 93-97 Z28s in my ‘95 Cobra with the 5.0 and never had a problem stock VS stock. Driver mod I guess.

Because they are hard to work on and a lot slower then the 5.0s. In highschool a friend had a ‘89 IROC and my ‘95 auto convertible 5.0 would stomp it. Even the 5.7 ones aren’t that fast.

What store is that? Beyond the walmart that sells both.

But you wouldn’t have a COTD worthy story

same here.

LOL That is the way i feel about that place but the wife loves it. SIGH

Great story. I was under the impression all sonics are setup like drive-in with no dining area...Or is it only in the west.

Yeah that is what I have heard about 2cvs. There also was a bunch of ‘50s and early ‘60s Mercurys and Full size fords at one time. that hurt I had been looking for a Breezeway mercury only to find one at the junkyard.

Good to know I am looking into getting one as a DD and here in NM we don’t get rust.

There is always the CUCV program.

Like a ‘80s CUCV I bet.

Yeah If i had the room and money I would have rescued that subi and 2cvs hell I have never seen one on the street and for 4 to be in the yard at the same time I bet some mean family member junked someones car collection.

LOL where is the fun in that!

I am not arguing for using test pipe on the street but I have a high flow on the Cobra for the street granted the catless was in a previous config. I thought we were talking about the effectiveness of the mod not the moral and legal issues of running one the street...

Both were used at the track and dyno tuning only but I do agree on the point of bad emissions. funny story I once tested the cobra without cats at a friends emissions shop just for fun and it passed with flying colors. I assume it just needs them for cold start emissions.

I have had the same ‘95 Cobra since ‘98 when I was a Senior in HS. I could easily trade her in on something newer that would be 1000x “better’ like a ‘15 Mustang GT or a ‘07-’14 GT500 but in the end I love this car and its flaws and shortcomings make it all better to me. Its like a old worn in pair of boots or jeans

Yeah out here in the southwest there are tons of classic metal around. and morons still sell them to the junk yard. I have seen complete 50s and ‘60s mercs and FS fords at my local u-pull and pay.

Same here. Super super sad

This is pretty sad at my local U pull it yard. I have seen the following 4 2cvs including a delivery van model, a late ‘60s Subaru 1000 tons of 1st gen Rx7s, a few MA-70 supras and tons of Alfa 75s and 155s (one of which was cash for clunkered that I took a valve cover off to use as a wall hanger) what kind of

Yep even us Aviation folks who don’t deal with them a whole lot know how horrid they are. Just give me a ‘80s GM CUCV or DUCE and a half.
