I agree that I think this will happen but I’m surprised as to why. Why is there no point to seeing it if there’s no more DCEU tho? Why are peoples enjoyment of this genre purely the big team ups? With the exception of big-franchise super hero flicks, just about every single movie you ever watched was “the dying breath of a now-irrelevant universe.” All this thing needs to be is good and fun (or bad and fun, if it’s anything like the first Aquaman), and people probably will come to see it. 

Both Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe From Godzilla Minus one deserve some love. They each made me cry and I felt their pain during the movie.
