When watching the first Mars landing back in the 90's, I called out to my gf who was in the other room ‘Come quick, they’re showing pictures from Mars!’ and immediately thought of my parents who watched the Moon landing.

LMAO, bad move Treyarch. Don’t cater to hoppers. Fuck em.

This is the correct answer. Battlefield doesn’t have this problem.

Your accuracy should go to complete garbage while in mid-air, as well as for a short period after. Problem solved.

Counterpoint: fuck bunnyhoppers and I support anything that makes their lives harder. Jumping around every corner was not the main method of combat when I heavily played shooters, and it’s ruining every attempt I’ve made to get back into them.

This is the single most terrifying thing that a post-WWII society has come up with.

I’ve always said and will continue to say that any winter tire comparison where the control is a summer tire can and ought to be discarded. The only people that drive summers in the snow are first time sun belt transplants, people who got caught off guard before they could switch to their winter tires/cars and morons.

Yeah, because a $60 retail game by a renowned AAA studio is totally comparable to Early Access games by small indie teams.

Much simpler explanation:

Basically condemning Arthur to a slow death half way through the game turned out to be a bit of master stroke of narrative, helped immensely by how you visually see him wasting away. It should’ve been somewhat trite, guy whose done bad stuff is forced to question his past due to impending death, but despite that trope

Right?! I didn’t agree with this line in the article at all: “New protagonist Arthur Morgan’s nowhere near as appealing a character as Marston was, but the game seems keenly aware of this.

I felt that Arthur was a waaaaaay better character than John, even with John’s story in RDR1. Arthur Morgan became one of my

I liked Arthur more as a protagonist than John. I felt he controlled more of his own destiny than John did and got to face his death sort of how he wanted to.

“Moves around like such an oaf”. Exactly. The Witcher 3 had similar problems when it was released. CDPR released a patch that tightened up the character’s turning radius and the gameplay was improved immeasurably. Hopefully Rockstar will do something similar. My only other complaint is about Arthur’s inability to walk

I love the shooting and riding. The former is satisfyingly visceral and deliberately paced - it’s exactly appropriate for a western. Same with the riding, which is by turns intuitive and flexible (your horse can exactly as fast or slow as you require, and can even sidestep for navigating city streets and other tight

All the random abandoned buildings in the game make it fun to explore the countryside. You got the Civil War vets who have gone bonkers, cabins full of bodies, a cheater, his wife, and the mistress in a full murder suicide, and more. The story is fine and all, but these extra things make the game so much more

I disagree, I love the gameplay. It’s probably the most fun I’ve had in a game in a long time. Although the controls are a bit— okay, more than a “bit”— clunky, the gunplay still feels so satisfying.
