@Pzychotix: Very true. And just think of how many of these small things are in your dirty dirty pockets/purse. I bet this happens no matter how you carry the phone.

@drandall01: Something hard could be a grain of sand. Might be easier to do than you think.

@xaronax: Nope, but I do wear eye glasses, so maybe that helps....

@Acemonster: D3s does not shoot RAW video.

@Acemonster: I only 50% agree with that statement. The D7000 looks to be pretty good on the image quality front. Yes, I will agree that you aren't going to get the AF systems, FPS, and buffers of the flagship bodies, you still get an easily pro body. That prosumer category really has some steals if you don't need the

@Acemonster: I still think you are off. If you are a landscape guy, that 4.5k for a nikon D3S may not help you at all over 2k for a Nikon D700. In fact, if you don't need the tools that the D3s has, you are wasting your money on features that will sit idly by.

@Two Dogs One Bone: Yep, I reread your original comment and realized I read it wrong.

@Two Dogs One Bone: Are you sure they aren't just calculating it based on when you hit two consecutive booths? I mean, that would be the much easier way then installing a bunch of additional sensors.

@Norbs: He doesn't look too happy about being brought back to the past to endure this whole 3D hype thing....

@ZaxxonQ.com: Well, if I am in the field for extended use, two shit tons of AA batteries, please. Honestly, I already carry a bunch for flashes, so it doesn't add much weight. And I bet it doesn't really eat all that much juice, so I bet you get 60 mins or so off a 2300 AA rechargable.

@Martian Yeti: PNG is lossless compressed. Meaning, there is still compression. Might be able to improve that compression in a new PNG standard or a new lossless compressed file along the lines of PNG.

Yeah, if it doesn't do an alpha channel, you are going after the wrong image format. PNG probably needs to be shrunk more than JPG, although both formats are now becoming dated. And as new sites are developed, and support for IE6 is dropped, you will see a higher usage of PNG because of that alpha channel.

@lanboyo: I don't think it would be that hard for a government to acquire a few in the name of "national security." Nowhere in the article did it say how often the word appears. It could be a variable used once in the whole thing. Like I said, it only takes one programmer to hide something like that in the code.

@Ian Logsdon: How are you surprised by having to explain this? Seeing as how the media in our country basically tells us that Ahmedinejad is in charge, that is what 99% of Americans will believe until proven wrong. Not to mention, the title of President tells us Americans that he is the man in charge, even if he

@Ian Logsdon: Ah, but the leader of the country says things, and he/she/it are supposed to be speaking the words of the country. Follow?

With all the Holocaust stuff Iran has said (or rather denied) over the years, it could be an angry jewish person from anywhere. It just indicates that there likely was a Jewish coder working on it.

@hawkeye18: I understand the principle. I am just saying we are seeing more gamers that aren't buying into the latest hardware all of the time. It really boils down to the type of gamer and their games of choice. If the guy sits an plays WoW all the time, they don't need the latest greatest video card. If the person

@hawkeye18: I bet you photographers/graphic artists are as much, if not more of the market share of desktop users than gamers.

Ok, I'm having WAAAAAAYYYYYY too much fun with this one.
