@ian.g.case: Are you sure those ads are even from Google? There are many ad companies using behavioral/retargeting strategies like the one you suggest.

@bitslammer: Umm....lets see, there is a 6 year old desktop (soon to be replaced), a 4 year old laptop, a 4 month old desktop, and a 6 month old netbook, all of which hate Firefox. Not to mention most of my coworkers have migrated off of it to Chrome for the same reasons.
@bitslammer: Maybe, but at least chrome doesn't crash every 20 minutes and leak memory like a running faucet. Firefox has become too bloated for it's own good. Heck, it will be the worst browser after the release of IE9.
@R4V3N: Llamas would work better than sheep. Just sayin.
@N@tedog: Unclear. You read it both ways in the article above. Of course, the extract info part is all coming out of Iran, by my understanding. Unless I missed something.
@Husher: Nope, would cause Mad Human disease. I say we just throw every 1000th person into the middle of the nearest largest body of water and see if they can make it back to shore.
@im.thatoneguy3: See, I come from a photomatix background on HDR, now that you use the term "local contrast adjustment" I fully agree.
@Lupus_Yonderboy: Actually, part of the reason I feel better is the lack of carbonation, IMHO. Feel less bloated and all that kind of stuff. I also increased my intake of water. Honestly, I just feel better and feel like I have more energy. What I have been drinking a lot in place of pop is lemonade. Not really…
@Donuthead: Before I gave up pop completely (and let me tell you, I do feel better for it) I switched to Cane Sugar only ones. The two readily available here are Boynlan (sp?) and Jones. The Jones one is pretty good and not THAT much more expensive than Coke. It also comes in can, which are nice for the fridge.
@im.thatoneguy3: Print displays about 3 to 5 EV, monitors I think on average are in the range of 7EV. Tell me how you get 12EV worth of detail into a 7EV space without tonemapping?
@Devin Teague Connelly: Don't forget the ungodly built machines you would need to crunch the numbers in that large of a colorspace and play back video smoothly and fluidly.
If I wasn't so damn broke......
@pj_rage: Well, firstly, these are made for medium format. One of the key features in professional medium format has been interchangable backs. In the old film days, this meant that you basically flipped the back on and off the camera real quick, and your assistants would be changing film with the back(s) not on the…
@im.thatoneguy3: Don't forget, and just to further your point, that the video you saw is tonemapped. 99% of monitors cannot produce a large enough gamut to display HDR (32-bit) information, thus, you have to tonemap. So really, anything we call HDR is just compressed into LDR so that we can view it on current…
@wkm001: The new OS has the most compliant HTML5 browser of ALL browsers, desktop or mobile. It actually works really well. I just finished a mobile site and didn't have to rewrite a single thing to get it to work.
@dallasmay: Actually, there is a reason. As web browsers are asked to do more and more, plus multi tasking, the processor power for these phones becomes a bit more important. These are things independent of the market your phone serves.
@stan-the-man: Good catch.
Give it decent a 1ghz processor and 960 x 640 screen like the Samsung Galaxies, and I just might bite.
@Dr. Evil Genius: Guns of Summer: Looks like Dannon Aqua. So yeah, going with water. And I have seen Dannon bottled water before.
@Hà Nội: Head over to photo.net and search for questions, or ask questions. Lots of knowledgeable people and you can almost always get a great answer.
