I wish I had been close to this eloquent or thoughtful as a sixteen year old. But I’ve had to stay off Twitter because even by the MAGAsphere’s standards the attacks on her have been vile.

I’m going to take an opposite stance: Elizabeth Warren is the candidate I’d most like to have a beer with. She’s brilliant, she’s got a great sense of humor, and she seems interesting. 

If she can go from where she was a year ago to winning the Democratic primary she’s electable.

Until I dated a black woman I had no clue about black hair. So I handled it how I handle most things about race that I’m ignorant of: I kept my mouth shut. 

Continue to love EW. I feel a bit bad for Bernie, he and Nina Turner had good responses to the abuse directed towards the WFP. But the Cult of Personality around Bernie is insufferable. If he’s the nominee I might have to unplug from Twitter... Hell, if he’s not the nominee I might need to unplug from Twitter. 

Given the nature of Democrat elections, I don’t understand why every campaign doesn’t have a person (or a whole team of persons) whose sole job is to wake up each morning and say, “What do we need to do to build our support with Black voters today?”

Super weird that Warren isn’t getting those same smears despite also supporting getting rid of the insurance industry! 

I really appreciate Turner’s statement and wish it had been Bernie’s, though his was fine. Dispiriting though not shocking to see this response from the Bernie Cult of Personality though. 

Has Bernie talked about down-ballot voting and how even if he wins the Presidency it’s a moot point if Democrats don’t take the Senate? I know Warren has but don’t know if that’s something Bernie has focused on.
