I’m avoiding the comments section so I don’t have to see Bernie’s cult of personality arguing how he’s actually the only pure candidate and anyone else is a Republican who is trash. 

I’m not. Bernie and Warren have the furthest left policy platforms of any Democratic frontrunning POTUS candidate(s) in my lifetime.

It’s rare for an American candidate to completely flip on every position they hold on the campaign trail. As you said, based on record/voting history you can get a good idea on where the rubber will meet the road.

I’m basing this on what’s written in the article, which seems to be a defeatist position that no politician can ever achieve 100% of what they talk about on the campaign trail so why believe anything or support them?

I found myself begrudgingly moved by all of this, as cynical as moments like these are, and as much as I’m generally disinclined to believe a word that’s said on the campaign trail.

Yes, if Warren or Sanders win we’re not going to get 100% of what they’re promising. But they’re going to start negotiations further left which means that an inevitable compromise will be further left. Not to mention that Warren has talked about ending the filibuster which would make it much easier to pass her…
