Because if he loses the popular vote (likely) AND loses over 30 states, it doesn’t benefit them to create a constitutional crisis.

I love Hasan and have my issues with the Intercept. Greenwald is a piece of shit. He’s so far up his own ass that he’s actually doubled back.
I agree with you. I think the Trump/GOP relationship is entirely transactional. Which is why I believe the moment Trump is no longer beneficial he’ll be exiled.
I’m unfortunately not surprised by this. Dick Cheney and members of the Bush Administration are still allowed to work in politics (never mind that they should be in some gulag in Alaska for war crimes). Powerful people take care of their own.
I feel bad for Beyonce in the whole thing. Yeah, Kanye was right, and it was shitty how Taylor got to play the victim despite winning (I feel like there’s a metaphor in this whole thing...). Beyonce deserved to win the award and then she was thrust into this shitty position. So... in all of this? I’m #TeamBey
I said this to another poster, I think that it depends on how badly Trump loses (and how badly it effects the GOP downballot). If Trump is dreadfully unpopular McConnell will take the opportunity to distance himself and the party from Trump.
It depends on how he loses. I don’t think McConnell or the GOP as an entity loves Trump. If he becomes unpopular they will take the opportunity to turn on him.
Yeah, I think that’s wishful thinking. I think Trump loves being president now.
Because what can be done? He can be impeached for saying ridiculous shit?
Because it felt like there was a sustained level of his shit. It feels like things are devolving at an alarming rate.
1) I have tried not to be an alarmist about Trump himself. Yes, the poisonous atmosphere of racism and antisemitism has been awful. But yesterday was the first time I’ve felt like he’s a man who is totally out of control and realizes there’s no one who can or will discipline him.
2) If Trump loses the 2020 election,…
I also think this article gets at it as well: https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2019/08/21/trump-keeps-pushing-anti-semitic-stereotypes-he-thinks-hes-praising-jews/
I don’t know if this was my favorite letter so far this year:
Drew, as an Eagles fan I would like to say that you could just recycle this for the Eagles:
Governor Pompadour McRacism had the balls to say “the voters of Florida made a mistake”. Like... where the fuck do you get off?
2020 Candidates who have no chance: run for lower office (senate or governor) or go into the volcano. I’ll take it.
1) Yeah, I don’t know if you saw my comment below but I said I wanted everyone involved in the 2016 Democratic Primary (especially those who hadn’t gotten over it) thrown into a volcano.
2) The tweet is a lyric from the song played in the video that goes “I just took a DNA test turns out I’m 100% that bitch”
Yeah, it feels like he’s out of control but has realized that there is no one to discipline him so he just gets more out of control.
Considering Trump has been abusing amphetamines for three decades I’m not shocked that’s his solution.
It’s very interesting how I’m as excited for Senator Warren as I was for President Obama. But I’m excited in different ways. It’s very funny because it reflects how I’ve aged. President Obama was the leader I wanted but Senator Warren is proposing policies that would create the country I would be much more excited to…
