The Bernie thing takes me back to 2016 because I feel like he and HRC had the same kind of people making the same kind of responses. It’s this peevishness and incredulity that someone isn’t unquestionably supporting them. “You say Bernie isn’t doing enough for POC? Let me educate you, sweetie.”

Unfortunately that 45% is made up of people who think, “he can’t be racist or I wouldn’t have voted for him” and “he hasn’t said any racial slurs. He can’t be racist”
