Minnesotan here:
Tinfoil hat take: Franken offers to resign in exchange for the GOP forcing Farenthold to resign, and refusing to seat Moore (if he wins).
Whomever would get sent in his place would be at an Immediate disadvantage, as Minnesota would then have two seats up for re-election versus just one.
I’m a Minnesotan and Democrat and this is stupid. Let’s put our GOP (party before country) hats on for a minute and examine whether or not this same action would happen if Franken were a member of the GOP.
Solid Kinja. +1 Timex.
Since this new controversy is based around a photo, where’s the picture that would ultimately damn Franken for being inappropriate? Wouldn’t the mantra of pics or it didn’t happen seem to fully apply here? You know, since the incident occurred when he was in the midst of having his picture taken.
Solid Kinja. +1 chromosome?
Considering the context of the interaction in question, I feel like the appropriate response would be something along the lines of, “pics or it didn’t happen.”

I’m here for the hot legal takes, because this is legitimately fascinating.
+1 Costanza.
Now is as good a time as any to ask this question. Who was previously considered to be the consensus “worst” President? Like if we’re using a Madden-like metric to rate Presidents, who had the lowest score? And by that same metric, how much higher is his score over Trump’s?
This is the Kinja I came here for. +1
It was done at the Silverdome when the US hosted in ‘94, so it’s already been done. Not to mention the Chelsea/Real Madrid exhibition that christened the stadium.
I’ll be surprised if Minneapolis is pulled from this list. Having an incredibly large East African population in the twin cities and a newly-built soccer-specific stadium has to be a boon for their host city bid.
While all of these events are obviously terrible, I think an important distinction needs to be made here: in nearly every example presented mention is made of a group of perpetrators, instead of a single assailant (or the occasional pair).

Why are you linking to the version from the 114th Congress, and not the 115th?
