Really, its about a docking station of some sort, I think. I know I’ll be replacing an iMac with a MBP at some point, and I’m just frustrated that they don’t even make it so you can add memory some point down the line anymore.

With power, an external monitor, scanner, wacom tablet, external drives, hard-wired internet for NAS, external optical drive and a keyboard, having two to three of those four ports likely used by items that previously had their own dedicated connection is a serious step backward for pro users.
