@brent.mcwhorter: the iphone 4 came out june 24th 2010. which would put the iphone 5 at june 24th 2011.

@Brendan Nolte: i have a good feeling the wouldn't sit around spending millions of dollars improving technology they didn't have a need for.

@xaronax: hmm... well.. in theory if the maps are pre-cached which some are on the iphone (ya know cuz it has some storage space) and the app doesn't depend on a mandatory agps signal you don't really need much of a network connection. you just have to live with a slower sat sync. yes yes nit pics i know.. i just

@xaronax: well youre the one that pointed out reception... why would the gps receiver need to depend on the antenna or att?

@xaronax: by reception i think they mean gps signal in a building.. iphone has a dedicated gps receiver in it.

@renafuse: yeah they failed right into one of the most profitable companies. besides.. for $99 its pretty cheap. i have pants that cost more than that.

@Wade McGillis: 4th gen ipod doesn't use the iphone 4 screen. it has the same rez and density but is in fact a different screen.

@Norbs: angle, perhaps?

@Stem_Sell: thats too rednecky for an apple user.

my iphones comin for your network NOM NOM NOM ;)

@Channan: ha agreed. theres a reason winmo and palm os are pretty much dead. i think its gonna be android and iOS for the win. win7 seems super cool but i can't help but feel its late to the party.

sorry. i feel bad for the employees of blockbuster but aside from that.. screw blockbuster. i don't really appreciate them taking it upon themselves to edit the content they distribute etc and decide for me what i can and can't see.

ah wicked. have phone webOSies. it will suck you in.

fragmentation time, come on! this is where apple def has the upper hand. they control the hardware and the software. whether you love them or not, fragmentation will be minimal comparatively. it also brings into question all these custom UIs on top of it which need all these separate updates from manufacturers etc...

i definitely feel there is a market for mobile gaming. the iphone4 and latest crop of android phones currently do a decent job of getting near psp, nintendo ds quality.. with the advantage of being wireless, 3g etc.. they aren' replacing my ps3 and 360, but they are great for flights, commutes, or killing time when

open?

@PN - goopplesoft: dood the xbox handles updates in a reasonable way. i've never once thought to myself that the updates on it are obtrusive of frequent. even when it does have them they are quick. the ps3 has frequent updates (almost everytime i turn it on) and they take FOREVER most of the time.
