I honestly don't think Nintendo knows what gamers want anymore.

@STiger: They are the same because they are FPS's, but Call of Duty focuses more on action and story and Valve games are more gameplay mechanics (Portals, Gravity Gun, Cooperative play) and environments.
@flashtut: I'm no lawyer. I'm just speaking from personal experience. I've had to sign a non-compete, but that only applied to work while I was employed at that company. And this was quite a few years ago, so things may have changed.
@Kovitlac: courts usually side with whoever has the most money. /pessimistic statement about the current quality of the judicial system.
@KofreZ: more like "Remember when you worked for me and you were talking to my direct competition about possibly doing something with them? Get your shit and get out. Oh yeah, see you in court!".
@flashtut: Like "When there is a dissolution or disassociation of a partnership. (Business & Professions Code Section 16602)". I may be grasping here, but Activision could see them as violating the CNC while still employed at Activision.
@undeadmouse: I agree, but I think you are too optimistic. As someone who works in the industry, I have little hope that big companies concern themselves with making great games. It's like the movie industry. When something truly amazing comes along, mainstream runs with it and replicates it to death and after a short…
I like how Jason and Vince are the slice of pizza you always get left after your significant other says "I left you the last slice."
@STiger: that would be cool, but Valve makes different games, and plus that, they are partners with EA.
@fuchikoma: I don't mean to imply that publicly admitting you enjoy your competition's products can't be for some kind of Public Relations or Marketing purpose. I'm sure EA is now trying to distance itself from Activision's recent actions so it'll be seen as the "cool company that can spawn the next billion dollar…
@fuchikoma: just because another company is your rival doesn't mean you can't personally enjoy their products on your own time. Unless your name is Steve Jobs.
@Tevor_the_Third: I vote McDonald's.
@Maritan: Can't. Non compete agreement.
I like how Home is the more realistic portrayal of Reality in the history of gaming.
@stranger: "Because Sony spend years and millions on making it. And it's free."
Was it just me, or did the wording seem....weird? "Instead of thanking, lauding, OR JUST PLAIN PAYING West and Zampella...". I've read a lot of court documents (2 whole documents), and none are worded like this.
Dear Jason and Vince-
@Kryptolojik: I'd take Twilight over The Tester any day. And I fucking hate Twilight.
@shufflemoomin: don't be a Larry Ellison.
@pirate_: It's odd that they said you wouldn't fit in since you previously states your intentions on waiting for a fix to come out from Sony, apply that fix to the customer's PS3 and charge them for it. Sounds like Best Buy to me. I'm not judging, BTW.
