Steel Pole Bathtub is one of the best things to emerge from the 90's.

Oxbow is great. The new one was very much worth the wait. Chrome Over Brass is interesting, though not sure it has long term staying power. Good drumming though.

Totally hooked on Algiers - The Underside of Power, still listening to Oxbow - Thin Black Duke, and Schammasch - Triangle.

Well I agree with the spotty twerp on that one.

Has to be the Melvins just because they never stop touring so the opportunity is always there. Alice Donut, Ed Hall, Cows, and Wargasm were seen often as well.

Got my girlfriend to watch Patton for her first time. Wasn't sure that she'd like it as much as I do, but she did. So YAY! Also watched Get Out, which we both enjoyed quite a bit, finally ending a long streak of very-hyped horror movies that I end up not liking at all.

The Wailing was the best film I saw last year.
