You are in the same position as most people. Tenure is not being protected from termination. All it does is make it harder for them to fire you. If this lady had only a few, isolated complaints, nothing would have happened. She obviously has quite the track record, and when you’ve got students and parents (tuition)

You can still be fired for cause. The intent of tenure is to protect academics from backlash when they choose to research politically unpopular topics or say politically unpopular things, not to let people get away with being abusive or sexually harassing others or committing gross academic misconduct.

Although I can appreciate the owner’s remarks, his posting those comments aren’t the smartest thing to do as a business owner. Sometimes you have to take the high road...

Bienvenue au New Hampshire.

“incociderate” tho

No joke, I work in a bank and a client brought a $500 bill in to cash last week. It was issued in 1934 and her father has given it to her mother. For some reason her mother had kept it in her wallet for, like, 50 years so it wasn’t collectible. In all of their combined years, no employee in our bank had ever even

Probably a bit of both.

Ugh, I had a horrible experience with one of those “We’re being loud? It’s a bar/club/concert/festival, everyone’s being loud!” people at a concert before. Bro behind me—who clearly wasn’t into the artist I’d paid dearly to see and probably won tickets by burping his ABC’s for a Top 40 radio station or something—was

Everybody’s always having fun with you when you’re shitfaced drunk. It might not seem that way in hindsight after you sober up, but then you get drunk again and realize that drunk you is always awesome.

I posted that too because I thought they meant a literal 5oo.oo currency bill.

He really shouldn't have responded at all. People would be able to tell she's an asshole. Sometimes silence is better.

Agree, but it might have been better if the owner had not responded at all. Anyone could read that lady’s review and know that she was an a-hole.

“Everyone else was having fun with us!!!111!”

Joyce is the kind of customer that would have complained if the roles were reversed - if she were eating out with her family and a loud-ass group wouldn’t stop singing, you know Joyce would be calling the manager over and asking for her meal to be comped.

Good for the restaurant owner, and good for everyone else that enjoys eating there that won’t have to worry about an encore performance. I also hate when people talk really loud at restaurants, unless it’s something worth overhearing, in which case everyone speak up, I don’t want just one part of the conversation.

Now playing

Life’s NOT a musical? Chaser lied to me?!

Well, she has also consistently upgraded husbands/boyfriends whenever the oppurtonity provided. Scott Foley to Michael Vartan to Ben Affleck*. She knows what’s up.

Well, maybe. But then again, there are multiple reports of her being a terrible human being. And cheating on him with THE BIEBS.
