UGGH the “it’ll happen when it’s meant to happen” people are the WORST. I was told this after I got an offer rejected (then picked up, then it turned out that was a lie to help with negotiating with the other offer, and then I told the crazy person we were dealing with she could fuck right off when she suggested maybe

I kind of loved the “come down from there!” half-hearted pleas. So well behaved when they know they’re on camera.

I’m so glad someone went out and did it!

OOH yeah beard was better.

I need to go look that up again! The first season had a sewing blogger I watch (the super cute one from the first season), but America doesn’t get any of your bees or bake-offs until years later on PBS.

Dagnabbit, that *does* sound less boring.

What I love about this is...what about gay weddings will make them less boring? Are they forbidden from cake-cutting or something? DO WE NEED TO LOBBY FOR GAY CAKE-CUTTING NOW?

Yup- I mean, obviously, we’d report if we had any evidence (or even a solid feeling), but I hate even sending bad grades home if it seems like a parent will RIP THEIR KID APART for it in any way (there are a shocking number of parents that give me this vibe).

Uhh...OK

What?

Don’t you have the Great British Sewing Bee? Or did that bomb in the ratings?

I see the world in a very binary way, I guess. At least I married across the binary?

Not with every kid, but it’s definitely a thing, particularly with boys.

As a teacher, I can also attest to the fact that it’s bad for everyone in charge of the kid that isn’t the parent. I can’t (and wouldn’t) spank a kid, so nothing I do can really seem like punishment to a child who is spanked at home. Often, the only person the child will care about obeying is the parent who hits.

Checking out book-0n-tape times tends to be a fairly consistent measure.

I’m...kind of confused, probably by pronouns. I said that Christie was messing up royally on education, but Sanders seems to be the only candidate who won’t mess up royally on education.

I guess here’s my view on things:

Wanting to improve educational quality is actually highly correlated with not destroying public schools.

Bernie Sanders.

Yup. I’m a teacher, and the only fun thing about parent nights is figuring out where the kids’ noses came from.
