I kind of thought it was that firstborns looked more like dad.

Yup- I also think that Depp looks like...Depp.

Not to mention the shitshow education has become under him. Granted, there seems to be only ONE candidate that doesn’t want to mess with education, so we’re screwed anyway.

I’d suggest doing yoga DVDs or Youtube videos before going to classes so you don’t make a fool of yourself in front of the ladies, but go to classes a few times as you learn to get corrected as necessary and trying different times. You see a lot more guys in 6pm classes where I am, but there are usually 1-2 guys in

Does it get your heart pumping? I avoid hot yoga like the plague, because I don’t like getting too hot (so why would I pay for the privilige?!).

Agree! People in science (not humanities thinkers, basically) seem to miss the fact that it might not be a literal “flow of energy,” but more of a figurative one, and there are not a lot of great ways to express that feeling. There are a lot of yoga phrases like that- “Breathe into the stretch” is one that makes no

Ooh- I think that’s a good point. I’m fairly competitive (more with myself than with others), and yoga is a great way for me to give myself a workout that is also a little bit of a break.

Agreed as a runner! I used to do just traditional running stretches and was getting worried that my days were numbered- I had quite a bit of ankle pain and was starting to get knee pain. Doing yoga (especially ones labelled “yoga for runners” or “yoga for hips”) has reduced a lot of those problems.

Yup- I think the “connection with the breath” stuff that is VERY emphasized in yoga can do a lot for mental health and just being generally more aware of how you breathe, hold your body, and experience stress.

I agree- if it works for you, as long as you don’t buy in TOO much to the “flushing toxins” business, it can’t really hurt. It’s sometimes just a nice image to hold in your brain to help you with the pose, more of a description than anything else.

The thing that always got me was the knives. We had ridiculously heavy handles where I worked, so stacker or no, there was always a knife trying to escape because the dirty part was light and the heavy part was left hanging off the edge.

Haha like the people who put cocktail napkins in glasses that still have liquid in them? I wanted to kill them every time I had to fish a semi-liquid piece of paper covered in saliva out of a glass.

I really like it when they pre-bus my plate that still has food, as I’m tempted to eat more than I can handle if they don’t box it fairly quickly (I always request it when the pre-bus my husband’s meal).

Yeah- I was told to pre-bus at banquets, because it made the tables look less photogenic.

I could see studying it...not making a career out of it.

Because it’s something you could drag your arm in on your way to your water glass. Signed, A person who has trouble not getting messy.

Exactly- fast eaters make slow eaters feel rushed. My husband is the same way, and I just sort of have to deal.

Haha agreed! Well, I swim in public pools ALL THE TIME, so maybe not on that part. If high school swimming didn’t kill me (though it DID make me super ill when the air system broke, but that was not water’s fault), I figure my current rate is fine.

But you have to get into bed with him in the first place to find that out!

I’m not saying that everyone has to do it- as a former lifeguard, I know how important ALL pool safety is.
