How come these movies never explore what would happen if someone was to hack into the financial accounts of a bunch of billionaires and take all their money on Purge Night?  Because, that’s what I’d be doing during The Purge.

Perfect, pretty sure Regina King is going to be the Seth Rogen of the industry if it these opportunities keep coming her way (I didn’t even know how much Rogen was involved in while watching Invincible, that dude is like 15% of Hollywood).

For folks who like to travel through the intersection of pop culture and scholarship, J.R.R. Tolkien (whom you may have heard of as the writer of some movies) did a translation of the Middle English poem on which this movie is based.

But his suspicions aren’t enough to overshadow the promise of how that money could change Scott’s life, something that he has in common with everyone else he recruits to work on Takana’s suicide mission.

I love Dave Bautista. Good for him for getting this role. People were freaking out last week when he said he was not gonna be Drax any more after Guardians 3 and he had the most honest and heart warming answer about it.  He was like I am 52 years old, its time for me to take parts where I don’t have to have my shirt…

The first one pretty clearly was intentionally funny and the trailer editors tried to hide it for some reason.

Ellis can be blunt and her answers can be sharp, but misgendering is not something I see in her MO. That’s the kind of spiteful bullying tactic that isn’t her style. If she used the wrong pronouns I suspect it’s a mistake or ignorance.

The New Gods’ appearance in ZSJL was pretty received though. It’s also basically all the promotion those characters received in the movies. Sounds more like WB throwing out the baby with the bathwater: they don’t want Snyder anymore, so they’re getting rid of anything even remotely related to it.

The only New Gods stuff I’ve read was Mr. Miracle, and Darkseid gets his ass kicked in that universe too.
