I reckon that was her best performance. Really powerful. Love Kristen Stewart in this (she rightly won awards) but at the time I remember thinking “This sixteen year-old is going toe-to-toe with freaking Juliette Binoche and absoutely killing it.”

Having just watched the first movie he is indeed Mexican but was working for the Colombians in an “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” type situation.

She changes her mind on defending Asgard, but she doesn’t seem to have a “wow, slavery is monstrous, I’ve killed countless innocents” moment. “Willing to fight a war for your homeland” and “fine with slavery” can coexist, just look at the civil war. 

We just hope Marvel doesn’t follow in its corporate brethren’s footsteps with that “exclusively gay moment” bullshit.

I’m still not sure why I’m supposed to like Valkyrie. She’s an unrepentant slaver, there are a decent number of full-on supervillains who are less evil than that. If Calvin Candie was bitten by a radioactive spider, I really hope they wouldn’t make him an Avenger.

With the corrupt camp officials accepting bribes to allow contraband (such as drugs) into the camps where the children are. That would tie it all together.
