I nver get this “throw against the wall analogy” for DC movies since most of the ones they announced were for mainstream superheroes everybody expect DC would adapt. I figured they were said by people who have no idea that Wonder Woman or The Flash exists. And ironically one of their most successful movie was Suicide

Or you know, maybe a horror movie without superheroes can still work, like it has worked so many times before. Ask Aquaman director James Wan and WB, they know a few examples.

When they say “secret” it’s a secret to the public, not to the people running the company making it, and one the public would probably know before the first trailer is teased. So this is more a case of WB being too boneheaded to see the potential in a character-based movie if it’s not major superhero or played by a

Holy shit, it’s 2021. But oh yeah, this AV Club whose readers are the C-SPAM fans of pop culture ever since most of the writers left.

The answer can be a simple one: nostalgia baiting.

This thing is usually seen as them trying to win back the old fans.

Incel grows up into a tool of fascists, which makes too much sense now.

From RLM though.

Many of the people who have supported them over the years are also hardcore George Lucas fans, so most of them aren’t really the type to blame George either. I think Lucas just picked Hayden because he’s just about right at portraying someone steered by their environment and upbringing into a toxic relationship.

It’s because the RLM reviews. Seeing the things and people they love get slandered makes them more willing to stand up for it.

Of course many Prequel fans have liked it from release. Now they just have more people that agree with them,

Next he’s going to tell us the Squid Game is about capitalism being bad.

I think after so many conservatives said they identify with the Rebels, thus missing the whole point, Lucas just wanted to make sure nobody would depict the Jedi or the Republic in a completely positive light in movies where about their less positive nature. He worked closely with Dave Filoni on The Clone Wars and it

Is this based on the Black List script where Wonka was a WW1 soldier?

Any bad parts of this movie is just going to be the big budget equivalent of Nikocado Avocado screaming that his viewers are to blame for his extreme obesity and resulting health problems.

When did that happen? I can still post there, just in the greys but I’m only not greyed out on AV Club.

This is pretty much the only modern comic book series I follow now. Glad to see it’s back.

This website’s reporting have not been very good ever since most of its good writers went and formed their own site (that is is sadly dead now).

Oh right. I forgot there’s a sequel.

Two funny things about this movie: the first is that it’s a sequel to a non-superhero romance movie involving humans and aliens, and the second is how there’s a random scene where the robot from Enthiran helps the main character.
