Just like The Escapist review said that Scott Pilgrim is a better movie about relationships than Eat Pray Love, I like the review that said this movie has a better portrayal of teen romance than many romcoms out there. Though, coming from the guy who made (500) Days of Summer it's not surprising.
Yeah, TASM seems to be more focused and story-based than Avengers, which for all its greatness just seem like an excuse to put several unrelated characters in a movie.

Too bad about that. Andrew's use of recordings is clearly a way of him trying to build a safety barrier between him and the world. But by the end it became a psychological compulsion. It is part of his character development.
