It’s weird to see H. Jon Benjamin in that list, since my introduction to him was Home Movies where he actually does a completely different voice. He really has gotten a lot of mileage out of just doing himself now.

I don’t know, at least the US stopped punching itself in the dick at the end of 2020. Meanwhile the Conservatives have held power in the UK for [goes to check] holy fuck!
Yes, the only reasons it doesn’t occur to me to include him in these lists are
1) Nobody knows who he is unless you’re really, really, really into politics
2) His face literally started melting once he started doing his hick schtick, so I feel like he’s maybe being karmically punished enough already.
So many of the worst on the right went to top schools but still talk like idiots to the supporters they think are idiots.
I wish I were you and had also never heard of Brexit.
Tucker Carlson, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Ron DeSantis, and Trump. All these guys went to top elitist rich-kid schools, and all came out saying “That oughtta hold the little SOBs” out loud constantly. For all of them, the reason they promote such stupid policies all the time is because they are convinced all their…
I’ve never heard of “Jimmy Failla” before, nor seen him or heard his name pronounced, but in my head he looks like the Shamwow guy digitally-aged 40 years, and his last name is pronounced “Failure,” and he sounds like Jack Lemmon in Glengarry Glen Ross trying to sell some land to the Nyborgs.
I liked Pikmin 3 a lot, but it shouldn't have taken that many years for what it was.
A lot of us were doubting it even at the time. It felt like a story that people _wanted_ to be true, and confirmation bias kicked in. There certainly was an upgrade to the Switch released, and I suspect that’s what the original stories were always unintentionally referring to.
I suspect the reason so many conspiracist and anti-minority and other whackjob YouTube videos are tediously long is because by the time you get to the end of watching it, you’ll agree to just about anything.
That is such a great line and applicable in so many contexts when responding to idiots, I’m going to steal the hell out of it. Thanks.
Outlets reporting the same thing often rely on the same few sources. I saw outlets quoting Bloomberg on this. It’s common that you search for a news item and can find several dozen sources, but all of them say something like “The New York Times reports...” In this case I think there wasn’t a lot of _original_…
Agreed. Also “We’re making Pikmin” has been a thing since long before 2013. Anyone else remember E3 2008 when Nintendo had nothing to show except Wii Music, and Miyamoto apologetically whispered that Pikmin 3 was coming in a press conference afterwards?
A “reputable outlet” that said Switch Pro was just around the corner lost a lot of its reputation, in my eyes. The news was false. Bloomberg News pushed it hard as I recall, and I don’t consider them reputable anymore when it comes to this subject.
I think the only acceptable choice is Chris Pratt playing both Rick and Morty, using his normal voice for both.
True, except they continued “Player’s choice”/”Nintendo Selects” into the Wii U era. It’s really only since the Switch era that they’ve refused to ever offer a serious discount on their games, and even raised the price of old games. (Some that were discounted on the Wii U have full price ports on the Switch.)
Yoù didn’t mention it, but probably you’d agree: the cost of a car also adds a lot, both directly from the car itself, gas, insurance, indirectly from the cost of parking, and abstractly in the cost of sitting in the car doing nothing but getting stressed out for an hour or more every day. People are very quick to…
I think they’re probably different people, a lot of people can be called “gamers.”
Such an accurate description of Horizon and God of War, reminds me of this.
