My father would play Battle Chess all the time on my Amiga when I was not around. He hated all the animations though, and turned them all off to play basic 2D chess against the computer.

Shenmue did the exact same thing first, as I recall.
I thought you would make that joke and find it pretty amusing. Good job!
The _original_ story was not at all what you are claiming it was. It was completely rewritten, but it had quotes like:
Look at you the optimist.
The Legend of Zelda: Hold Your Breath Forever
Your suggestion makes me think of this, my favorite scene from Hot Shots 2.
People complained for DECADES about how bad Sonic Adventure 1/2 were. (I never understood those people, but I heard many complaints.)
I vaguely remember getting maybe halfway through Zahn’s first book and hating it. Only much later did I find out he started the whole Luuke thing. If that’s the best writing that the Star Wars EU has to offer, I’m glad I skipped out on it all.
That song is not in the game. Here is the main theme.
I’m currently playing through It Takes Two with my son. The gameplay is fantastic, extremely polished and satisfying, and it keeps doing new things all through the game. I’ve never played a co-op game where cooperation is so essential to the experience, or one that makes the players feel clever no matter how old or…
Are you not enjoying your 4k Switch?
Everyone keeps talking about how great Game Pass is, and how you can play things on the PC, so my question is: if the only game on XBox I care about is Banjo-Kazooie, can I get a short-term subscription and play that on my computer?
The very first thing I got after opening up my PS5 was a subscription to PS Now. I wanted access to all those retro games (especially since I skipped the PS4 generation). I like slickdeals. It’s not as comprehensive as dekudeals, but I find that site has way too much garbage filler (e.g., 20 separate entries for some obscure game’s DLC which is 10% off). So it gets cumbersome.
That’s news to me, thanks! I wanted something similar for my new Playstation.
Kotaku: reports on glitches in games like they’re uncovering Watergate
Except with the Gamecube, where they introduced “Player’s Choice” discounts in early 2003, only a year and a half from launch.
By the end of the game you have a ridiculous number of coins and no way to spend them all. So you can pay those coins to cheat in the battle, which I ended up doing a lot as the puzzles got harder.
