This works fine if you can afford a fleet of vehicles, but most families can't, either for financial reasons, or not having the space to keep an SUV for the times they're using most of the vehicles capacity.

FWIW, I have this conversation with people all the time, because I’ve owned and driven nothing but Miatas for the past sixteen years and live near Chicago. Been stuck exactly three times-once when we had an ice storm and I couldn’t get up the hill of my building’s exit (nobody did that day), once when the snowplow

I don’t know if the price is good or not, but I’d buy it or one like it if I needed the hauling capacity. Before someone says “But Subaru/Volvo/old Mercedes!”, this thing will be dirt cheap to run. Sometimes that's what you need, and being a bit fun to drive is a bonus.

So sad. I remember watching the Herbie movies when I was a kid in the 80’s - they always had them at the video store and my folks were willing to rent those goofy movies that came out in the sixties about the car that drove itself. I was a bit obsessed for a while - I had a couple of VW toys that I’d paint little

I have to say I always liked this version of the Supra when it was unadorned - no spoilers, air dams, etc. So many were ruined by these add-ons.

I think it's priced well, pending an actual inspection. That said I can think of other ways id rather spend the money-I didn't really like these when they were new, either. I find the styling really put me off, which is funny because that's always something people bring up, how great they look.

I’m going to nominate the second generation Eagle Talon. Captive import, from a nameplate that used to be an independent and which has since disappeared. Runner up could be the Plymouth Laser except it was only available in the first gen style, which was still a little 80’s straightedged. The second series is all

Girl I dated in high school called those “ziggles”. Fuckin’ hated that, even more than the stupid stripes.

Man, I saw a VehiCROSS earlier today - I think it’d been about a decade since I’d spotted one out in the wild. Silver. Looked clean. Sounded like it needed a muffler.

I’m now reminded of how one of the magazines said that “VehiCROSS” sounded like a hacking cough.

“Car you like more” doesn’t equal “better.” Personally I wouldn’t buy this because I prefer convertibles to coupes, but I also know it’s right on the money because I follow the market for classics.

Yeah, there's one at a dealer near me that's been on the lot for at least a year, and they're asking $75k for it. It makes more sense if you already have a Jeep, but not to get one fully built.

That's pretty much what I envision a modern Jeep pickup to look like, with the exception of the wheels. I'd probably have slot mags on it or something.

Too bad they couldn't do a kit for that, like the pickup you can buy.

Make it a two door like the Gladiator (or that kit you can buy), and I’m on board. Make it a sedan with a tiny truck bed out back and you may as well stick a Ram badge on it.

My CRX Si was manual steer, and wasn’t that bad even parking. I thought about taking the belt off my NA Miata but never did-I did coast it around a few times with the engine off and though it was way too heavy, especially compared to the Honda or my MGB. if I had the money I’d search out one without PAS just to see

How I would end up painting my own SWB (providing it wasn’t an historic example)

Anything other than red, with the caveat that if I was buying an historic example that was red to begin with, I wouldn’t repaint it.

The topic reminds me of a story I read in CAR Magazine back in the 90’s, written by Rowan Atkinson. He was buying a new Ferrari (I believe it was a new 550), and said the neatest thing

17.) Fourth through seventeenth brake light

Two differences: 1.) when some dickhead does something stupid at a cars and coffee type of event, that ruins it for everyone. Those kinds of events are put on mostly through the goodwill of property owners and local municipalities, who can take that away if enough people cause trouble. This was a private event. 2.) At

See, I think a better match for the BRZ would be a fifteen year old Outback that’s been maintained. Because here’s the thing: I live in the Chicago area, and even our worst winters aren’t solid snow for six months. And from March through till most of the way through November, it’s just fine - we get rain once in a
