Small pickups don’t sell anymore, much as everyone here thinks it’s an underserved market. Hell, single cab big trucks barely sell.

I'm sadly not up on the tuner end of things anymore-has anyone done this yet?
Isn't a Bentayga one of those little boxes you serve Japanese lunches in?
You should’ve put quotation marks around “privilege”. That clown face would haunt me.
I hate to tell you this, but I didn’t even have to take a final driving exam to get my license in Illinois, about 23 years ago. I took drivers Ed in high school, and if you scored highly enough in the tests and on road training, you got a “blue card”. This meant you tested out of the final exam at the DMV. Simply turn…
Hit publish too soon. The other factor is collectability. These sorts of cars are often bought as investments, not as a means of transportation. So, they do very little mileage and are sold when 1.) the owner needs some ready cash, or 2.) it’s appreciated enough to make a decent profit. The same thing happens with old…
Typically, supercars tended to self destruct if you drove them too much. Not just wear parts but whole driveline and engine rebuilds at mileages that for something like a Corvette or Porsche 911 mean it’s just getting broken in, much less a garden variety Honda. The Italia is one of the first that’s truly usable.

I was under the impression that Illinois emissions testing was also only in the Chicago and St. Louis metro areas. You always hear about guys in places like Bloomington or Dixon not knowing about the testing. Maybe they just can’t be bothered out there.
I’d love to see a configurator. It’s on my short list but I’d like to see what’s actually available before I go and try and place a preorder. Because so far the only colors I’ve seen are white and red, two colors I don’t especially care for.
I saw one at the Chicago Auto Show, and it does look much better in person.
CP, but you know that ten years from now some guy will buy it with an aim to restoring it to stock.
Yeah, my uncle had a couple of these back in the early and mid 90s as company cars. I thought they were kind of cheesy until he drove a bunch of us on a long drive somewhere. Turns out those things were a pretty nice place to be for a few hours.
True. We don’t have inspections in Illinois excep emissions in some counties, and cars over a certain age are exempt. Consequently the mileage restrictions are a real pain if you’re a “drive ‘em” guy like me. It makes more sense if you never plan to drive your car anywhere except the show and shine.
Yeah, I swear I’ve seen a couple of things like first series Elises with AV plates. Clearly not antiques.
I dobt thibk the price is too steep, but I think that’s location sensitive. These things are virtually extinct around here, sellers can practically name their price. Someplace in the desert it's just an old used car.
Ditto. I’m reasonably mechanically inclined, and understand how cars work, but there are a lot of things I don’t know how to do myself. At that point I’m just curious to see how something’s done.
NP with a caveat-the interior, as it stands, means I’m going to negotiate a chunk off the price, regardless of whether there’s a new interior kit included. As others will say, why not install it before sale?
Has a flat already, too.
