I strongly disagree with your opinion on Sticker Star. I enjoyed the hell out of it, and I’m a huge fan of both the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi series. Sticker Star set itself to be a unique experience, and the fact that its difficulty comes from trying to figure out how to progress is really cool. It made me feel

I can’t wait for the localized release. The Second Story changed my tastes in gaming when I first experienced it, and I still regard it as the best entry in the series. I really enjoyed my time with the prequel remake though as it adopts a lot of what made The Second Story awesome. I absolutely hated SO3 and found

Interesting concept, but stupid trailer. I would’ve loved to see an example of the proposed gameplay.

I was mostly into 2D platformers/shooters when I was a kid. Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, Contra, etc. Zelda got me interested in fantasy-based game and top-down action-adventure games but I didn’t play much outside of Zelda. Needless to say, my tastes were very limited back then.

Great idea! This is what Nintendo should do. An open beta demo for the online gameplay.

I can smell the sarcasm from a mile away. :)

I didn’t like Hunters, too. That being said, I don’t remember any insane negative reaction with Hunters. This game looks a lot better than Hunters, but I understand your concerns nonetheless.

Granted, I might be generalizing the fan-base a bit too much. My bad. I’ve learned from the string of replies here that people like you and others have genuine concerns for the game’s direction thus far. Nothing wrong with that. I’m a more glass half full kind of guy. But I’ve also seen the other end of the spectrum.

Good critique. I can’t argue with your opinions on what’s shown thus far. I might not necessarily agree with everything you say, but I definitely see where you’re coming from.

Last I checked, the last great Metroid game was on the Wii. Metroid Prime 3. I can’t blame people being torn about it and cautious, but the pile of hate is disrespectful to developer Next Level who has been working on this game since 2009. Plus, they’re responsible for two big revivals (Punch Out and Luigi’s Mansion).

Who says that Nintendo’s going to take it that way? The unnecessary hate that this game is getting might turn them off from making a Metroid game completely. If the fanbase is pre-emptively reacting to an unreleased game in-the-making developed by an excellent company (Next Level) with a great track record in a

Very interested in Earthbound and Super Metroid on the go. I have yet to devote some serious time into both games.

I agree that what we’re seeing right now is extremely vague, but I’m sure we’re not seeing the full picture of the game yet. Perhaps the online multiplayer turns to be very addictive and well constructed, even if it barely resembles the Metroid titles we’re used to. Then eventually, that will open up doors for a full

The thing with Metroid is that it’s a franchise that’s currently open for experimentation after the disaster that was Other M and how the franchise has slept since then. For me, I trust developer Next Level so much because they revived Punch Out and Luigi’s Mansion beautifully. Even if this Metroid is way too

It’s too bad that hardcore fans are not giving this game a chance. I know it’s vastly different than what we’re expecting from a Metroid title, but developer Next Level Games doesn’t deserve to be shit on like this. They have a proven track record with awesome collaborations and revivals with Nintendo, and MP

I wish I was into these Harvest Moon-type games because this indie release looks awesome. But I find the farming sim part of these games very tedious. Is this just me or is there a way to make these bits exciting?

So...should I play Conquest or Birthright first, people? Bearing in mind that I’m not a huge fan of the series but I do love Final Fantasy Tactics. I played Awakening for 30 hours until I got stuck in a difficult chapter but absolutely loved my time with it and I got the hang of the it. I want a challenging experience

I’m happy for the dude. Despite my dislike for his humor and let’s plays (he’s just not funny to me), his vlogs show a humble down-to-earth person who gives back when he can. Even though his game choices and humor aren’t to my tastes, it’s nice to see a gamer become famous just because he’s a gamer.

Saddened by the sudden closure. I remember going to GameTrailers to find just that; exclusive GameTrailers not seen in any other site. While AVGN was its main attraction for a long time, I consider Pop Fiction to be one of its most creative shows. The guys behind Pop Fiction also produced the Timeline series for Zelda

Thank you, Playdeck...for screwing me over and taking on a project that’s way over your heads. Even by some miracle that this game is ever released, it’s not going to be good.
