So I’m a noob of the series. Don’t know a thing about XCOM, but I love the Final Fantasy Tactics series. Should I jump in XCOM2 or try out the first one beforehand?

As much as how promising this looks, I’m just worn out from backing any game on KS right now. Too many delays and broken promises.

Pricier than I expected, but in the same time it’s not upsetting as long as it lives up to the hype. Pricing it as 40 has raised my expectations of what I thought would be a shorter game.

You’re right. For broken DSes it seems to be a great idea. But how about fixing the hinges or replacing the upper screen? Is that impossible to do or that much expensive than this mod? It sounds like the price doesn’t differ much between fixing a broken DS or modding it to reduce its features.

Kind of a useless mod honestly. Instead of adding any features, the modder actually removes a major feature from the original console. I’d rather have a DS than a Game Boy Macro.

Here’s what really baffles me regarding the HD ports of FFV and VI; how come they didn’t follow the PSP enhanced edition of FFIV? I think by introducing Cloud with the Final Fantasy VII X Smash Brothers banner, I’m sure that at least one other FFVII character will make the cut. Sephrioth most likely. Perhaps another stage. I’m also predicting that FFVII will be ported to the Wii U/3DS as part of this announcement.

I’m beyond pissed right now. I backed this project just because it had big names attached to it. I fell for the PR and fluff sadly and I paid premium, too. By the time 2018 arrives, this game will be off my airwaves. And who knows if it comes out anyway?

Unlike purists who are freaking out by how different this remake is looking, I for one am not minding the cinematics and real-time combat. Additions and more subplots are nice, but altering certain plot twists like a certain someone’s permadeath is a line that I don’t want to be crossed.

Mixed feelings on this. On one hand, we will wait less to experience it. On the other hand, I fear that an episodic RPG may make FFVII more linear. Revisiting previous areas has always been appealing and I’m not sure if this is possible with an episodic game. Who can forget finding the key to Midgar far into the game?
