I remember the times when Collector’s Editions were a big deal and an actual celebration of a game release. Lunar: Silver Star Story for the PS1 was such a special purchase for me which I unfortunately regret letting go of later in life. Now, Collector’s Editions is such an easy label to put on a game. Just slap a

I’ll be honest, I gave Suikoden 3 a fair shake back when it was released. I didn’t like it. 10 hours in and I found the game to be a tedious exercise, despite the interesting characters and getting to choose between multiple characters before the game starts for multiple perspectives on the story. That wasn’t enough

Technically Grandia 2 is older as it’s a DreamCast game. To be fair though, I heard that the PS2 port was poorly optimized so it had grainy visuals compared to the original DC version. I remember playing it fresh back then on the PS2 and I wasn’t impressed at all. Perhaps this HD port will shine it up as it’s based on

I remember trying out Grandia II for the PS2. I had a very bad first impression to say the least. The first few hours of the game were not appealing at all, so I stopped playing it instantly.

I remember following Banjo-Kazooie like a hawk when I was introduced to the franchise via Diddy Kong Racing. It didn’t disappoint me back in the day. The amount of moves to learn, transformations to experience, and worlds to explore was amazing. I loved how seamless the experience was, too. Mario 64, as much as I

I’m glad that eBay’s pulling these sales out. When you think of it, whoever’s selling these PS4s is stupid and the buyer is even stupider. To play downloaded PS4 games, you need a PSN account. So you’re basically giving the buyer your PSN account so that they can play PT. But the seller, in anytime, can remotely

As much as I’m disappointed by seeing browser and free to play, I really can’t fault Square-Enix for doing this. SaGa games haven’t been major sellers and there’s no international demand for them. Last game we got, Romancing SaGa for the PS2, was swept under the rug as quickly as it came. That being said, as someone

A lot further than I expected honestly. Looking forward to it and I hope it’s worth the wait.

It is weird. It’s impossible that Nintendo has not heard the complaints and critiques of the sucky Battle Mode. Either they’re preparing a full fledged DLC or if my dream comes true a Mario Kart game fully dedicated to Battle Mode.

Even though I’m not a fan of League of Legends, the fact that it aired on TV is freakin’ awesome. Whoever’s deeming this as nerdy on Twitter should buzz off. Awesome exposure to the culture and I hope it opens doors to something like Smash Brothers. I would personally love to see tourney play of Smash Wii U aired on

Too bad. The revival had a lot of potential and developer Star Power attached to it. I’m not sure who will Konami attach to the project should it ever come back, but it’s going to be hard to convince us of its quality if it doesn’t live up to that PT teaser.

You hit the nail right on the head with your post. Super Mario Bros. on the NES is the definition of timeless. Anyone can play it now and enjoy the hell out of it. The original Legend of Zelda, on the other hand, as much as I’m a huge fan of the series and respect the original a whole lot, I can’t say that it’s a

This is where I fault the original Zelda. The fact that you literally had to bomb every wall and burn every bush to get 100% is tedious. Like you said, this can fly back in the NES days, but even as a kid I grew bored with Zelda 1. The sequel fans love to hate, Zelda 2, is a much better game in my eyes as it isn’t

Tip of my hat to you, sir. The amount of patience it takes to get through Zelda 1 without some sort of reference is massive. I can’t imagine many others out there being in the same boat. I wonder if I made that statement too soon.

I just finished reading the graphic novel. Here’s the ironic part; while he says that Skyward Sword is the worse one, most of the story’s backdrop in terms of setup and location is based on Skyward Sword. It doesn’t look like he hates SS as much as he claims.

Seems like a nice guy from the video. Honest. Ambitious. Tough love kinda guy. Don’t see anything villainous from him.

The problem is that it is extremely difficult to moderate mods in terms of quality and whether or not mods are based on others. See, free mods don’t have this issue. As soon as you put a price tag on certain mods, you immediately start expecting a bit of quality and originality. If you borrow something free to put in

Gotta admit, it’s the first time I catch wind of this graphic novel. It looks unbelivablely cool and right up my alley s a huge Zelda fan. However, I really dislike the kind of Zelda fan Tevis Thompson is.

Unless the level layout and design were fundementally changed to fit traditional controls, I don’t see the reason for foregoing one scheme over the other in the Wii U version. Looking at the comparison videos, however, I see that the Wii U version is basically unaltered aside from HD graphics.
