Wow. Talk about shocking news. This is terrible for the people who grew up with his music. I'm not one of them, but the first Onimusha is a game that I love and it had some awesome tracks. I just hope we can identify the real composer soon as he/she needs to be recognized.

Very ambitious of them, but they should've thought of a seamless OS in the first place. One thing that they should implement is cross-buy functionality of the Virtual Console titles between the 3DS and Wii U platforms. That alone will prove to me their commitment of trying to integrate their products with each other.

Wise words from Mr. Iwata. This is one trend I don't want Nintendo following unless it is done differently than others.

Yeah, it makes sense. Do we know how much all these family shares cost?

Very interesting theory. It very well could be a secondary objective for Nintendo to pull off this very buisness-centric move. Whatever situation they're in, it's not a lie as they've bled losses this year. But they do have 10 billion dollars in the reserve which means that they're very safe and they can even buy up

It's funny that with all the reports of how the Kinect has been unreliable with the 360 and One versions from a gaming perspective, it's hacking and modding scene are put to practical real life usages continuously. Something's funny with this picture. The tech may be great, but how comes its gaming usages aren't up to

It's just about what I expect from a Need for Speed movie. It being terrible is kind of overreacting in my opinion, as the games aren't exactly a work of art in storytelling. The film seems to be emulating what NFS is all about; action, cars, racing with some cheesy sprinkles of story on top. In short, a Fast and

I'm honestly baffled that they didn't rename Bravely Default to a Final Fantasy spin-off in the west. It's very ballsy and tactical for the producer to keep it as a new IP in spite of the benefits gained from attaching the Final Fantasy brand to it. The fact that the existing hardcore RPG fans of the west already know

Nicely written and tightly covered editorial. While this is a very compelling product, 460$ US for a modded 3DS XL with capture enabled is way too expensive for me. I acknowledge the price being what it is because it's done by hand and from what you say very well put together, but compare that to what's in the market

Very unique and well thought out solution. However, I want players who own this game tell me something: how is the matchmaking process and the netcode overall? If they're both stable, then I can see this jail system benefiting them greatly. However, if the netcode sucks and your disconnects are out of your hands, then

How-to-fix-ception!

Too far off. I assumed they were aiming for a March release. As long as they're putting that extra time to good use, I don't mind the wait. Just bring me back my classic offline free for all balloon battle mode.

About time! This opens up some big doors in creativity and reviving some franchises from the dead. I always think that the big N is too controlling with their franchises, but they've recently opened up with handing their development duties to external studios like Retro, Grezzo, Next Level, Azerest, Namco, Sega, Good

Interesting, although some games will be very hard to emulate if they divide up the screens between the TV and the GamePad, particularly the ones which use one of the screens as an extension like Contra 4 or Yoshi's Island DS. Those would be nightmarish to play unless both sections share the same screen.

...very odd direction for this new platform. Then again, Wii Sports and Wii Fit are the reasons why the Wii did so well with the casuals, so I guess a dedicated platform just for software like these makes sense in the long run. It will be easier for them to market to the casuals and it will allow bring their current

I gave up on them ever since I heard that they have like 100 million in their bank account. We'll enjoy him in Smash Bros, but the blue bomber is best left as a franchise to sell to Nintendo or something. Mighty No. 9 is where I'll get my fix until then.

First a Bravoman revival, now Wonder Momo. Good on you for remembering the cult stuff, Namco. I'm not familiar with it at all, but looking it up really makes me excited for the reboot, especially since Wayforward is developing.

Wanted to drop by and wish you and your mother strength. May God be with you both during this time. I know the feeling of not being able to play something due to life. Dark Souls and many other games have been in the backburner for me as of late. You see articles like these and get excited, but alas duty calls.

I agree with everything you're saying. Indeed, when you're faced with situation, it's hard to rationalize the right thing to do at that moment...especially if it's a constant barrage of it. When you put it that way, weighing in getting brandeed versus keeping your dignity is tougher than I imagined. It all depends on

Yeah, a logical move to decrease financial burden. One thing that I commend Nintendo on is that they're smart with their money. After all, they've never gone under despite any financial peril due to this feature. I wish them the best of luck in being profitable again. They're going to need it.
