Something, something Lucas Electrics, something, Prince of Darkness . . .

I think this is an excellent next step for the classic car scene. Don’t get me wrong, I love classic internal combustion engines; but an unsmogged, raw gas spewing engine really doesn’t make sense for how these cars are now used by so many (sitting in a garage, with an occasional cruise for good measure). An electric

Awesome!

The model we are considering in Canada is the GS-P.  It slots between the GS, and the GT, and includes the LSD.  Anything in the “sport” package is coming out, anyway, with a FM suspension (that Fox package looks amazing), and wider wheels and tires.

My wife and I are seriously considering liquidating our NA and our E46 M3, and buying a 2019 ND, for autox, HPDE, and general fun car stuff. We plan to downsize in the near future, and my current big garage is on the chopping block.

I ended up painting the panel itself with that “rock effect” spray paint.  It matched the dove gray interior pretty well.  This is after I tried many other solutions.

The hardest part of learning to be an ally is that you need to use your voice to speak to people who share your privilege, power, and position.

Goldilocks is a great definition of a  SB50 M3.  Everything is just right, and it’s easy to make them hotter or cooler . . .

I forgot sagging headliner . . .

Mine was an M3/4/5, too :)!  It was a true all-arounder.

I would agree that for a daily driver my E36 M3 was a more enjoyable car, but for me that is a result of the modification decisions I made. It also was far less expensive to maintain, and was much better on gas. So as a DD, it was fantastic. Plus, the gearing and torque made it more useful for city driving.

Hard no.  An E36 M3 coupe with no rear wing is a thing of beauty . . .

I am curious to know if you have any significant driving experience with an E46 M3? I replaced my E36 M3 with an E46 M3, and the E46 is significantly more sports-oriented than the previous car. I’m not sure that any car with an inline 6 and a redline of 8000 plus RPM is forgettable . . .

Only people who have never owned one hate on them. I LOVED mine — it was reasonably cheap to maintain compared to my current E46 M3. It did everything I needed it to, with aplomb. I’d own another in a heartbeat.

Aren’t brakes designed so that when a line fails, they operate diagonally (one front, one back, on opposite sides?

It took me a minute :)

That’s why I clarified that it is not as simple as “offending” someone.  But you don’t need to look to Canada for examples of restrictions on free speech.  Try joking about hijacking to a TSA official, or shouting fire in a crowded movie theatre.  In a society all freedoms have limits -- and in most countries that

To calrify, you can’t be arrested in Canada for “offending someone”. You can, however, for wilfully promoting hatred of protected groups. So, like every other argument about “freedom” it comes down to a conversation about “freedom to” and “freedom from”.

We have a bottle in our cabinet.  It is sublime.  It’s not cheap, and it is also a smaller than an average bottle -- it’s all in Japanese but I think it’s only 500ml, as opposed to 750ml.  Sadly it’s disappearing quickly.

Fantastic analogy -- and it seems “reverse racism resistant” which makes it doubly useful.
