Thank you for clarifying this. I was wondering why they didn't feature Edd at all and now realized it's because I'm dumb.

I like Marvel movies a lot, but Film Crit Hulk just did a great essay about Spider-Man: Homecoming and Marvel in general that touches on the criticism you mentioned in your comment. Just wanted to give a friendly mention since it's still in my head.
I'll take "A location that can be described synonymously with 'pretty alright'" for 200
I actually prefer his answer, I learned something instead of reading a whole thread of lazy weed jokes.
I got goosebumps. That was amazing.
A part of me still has hope for things to wrap up…it really infuriates me that Adult Swim, who are usually pretty cool about creative freedoms and not keeping people down to a super tight schedule, chose to be complete assholes in this situation and just shut down any possibility of Metalocalypse coming back. Not to…
Are you seriously gonna be the "I've had bad things happen to me and I survived and MY exact experience should apply directly to someone else with entirely different circumstances so fuck 'em for not handling it like me" guy? (It's a lengthy, specific thing to be, but you're nailing it.)
Whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm all for everything you've said in this comment chain so far, but don't be an asshole to coal miners like they can just quit and find another job in their area, that pays as well, and has the same degree of consistency.
Holy shit, that's super fucked up. I had no idea any of this happened, and that's terrifying. Thanks for sharing.
It's all about perspective, man. I'm not saying the show is perfect, or remotely close to it, but there should be something for you to enjoy (it's not a terrible show). Try to focus on that and you'll be able to hack it through the guaranteed next three seasons (including this one). Good luck!
I've never felt so encouraged on the internet outside of sappy posts. Thanks for letting me down gently. <3
"…a website few people care about…"
That's actually very interesting, but keep in mind that the quote was said then and this is now. Not to say he suddenly *doesn't* think his attractiveness plays a role in his success, but however that comment may come across isn't necessarily representative of him years and years later.
I saw it twice, and I think it was just that: good. Not great, not incredible, not worthy of rave reviews…but good. It's just particularly disappointing when you compare it to Whiplash, which *was* incredible and deserved all the praise it got. But yeah, it was a process for me as well where I loved it as first, and…
Very true. It's a shame that these assholes are causing lots of legitimately awesome YouTubers to love the vast majority of their ad revenue… /: Just goes to show how unstable a model YouTube has for people trying to make a living off of it.
Wait, are you saying I'm biased or you are? Because if the only time you hear about YouTubers is through controversial news, of course you're going to think they're all shitheads. Although I see your point if you're saying I'm biased…in my hypothetical defense, I'm not just trying to cherry-pick. Most videos you see…
Not sure if you've looked into other channels besides, but I highly recommend it. Video essays are a booming genre on YouTube, and I LOVE it. Some channels:
Apparently not. /: Still sad to see that the majority opinion of YouTubers—from a pop culture site covering tons of internet stuff—is so blatantly generalizing and incorrect. At least, from the comment section of the site.
I know Tony was, at one point, but looking at his Patreon…he makes a shitload of money per video, so with that plus (pre-controversy) ad revenue I assumed that he quit to work on it full-time. He's made it clear that he spends months working on the videos, dedicating 100+ hours of research and work into each one, so…
This is an unexpectedly angry-old-man comment to see on the AV Club's comments…like, everyone from H3H3 to Philip DeFranco to WheezyWaiter to Every Frame a Painting to the Vlogbrothers to lots and lots and lots and lots and LOTS of other full-time YouTubers aren't shitheads.
