No problem. My first reaction to that scene was "It's been a long time since I've read the books, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like Jaime now if he was a rapist."

I bet that's code for "taking out friends for drinks" under the guise of recruitment.
The worst part is that the creators didn't see it as rape. The Daily Beast interviewed them:
Oh yes, I'm such a horrible person for not keeping up on all the Game of Throne merchandise. I apologize to you, oh god of the internet.
Well, the last time I looked it was after the first season. Perhaps there is more now that it's so popular.
Actually, I notice that companies often times underestimate just how badly hard core fans want stuff related to movies (and I'm not just talking children).
Mindy's character on that show isn't really supposed to be politically correct. She's a bit of a ditz and reminds me of Kelly Kapoor if Kelly was a doctor. It's part of her character.
He told Vanity Fair he could be up for writing a prequel season earlier this month: http://www.vanityfair.com/vf-hollywood/g….
I'd hope she doesn't want to be typecast as "the hot one"/prostitute and Melisandre surely would've been the more interesting role. But GRRM said that since the HBO series is rapidly catching up to his books, it's likely that an upcoming season could include material that is not currently in the book (prequels etc.)…
Which is a shame, cause she's excellent as Joan on Mad Men. She's certainly up there with the acting abilities of Jon Hamm.
The actress who plays Melisandre is great...but would've been fun to see her in an "evil" role. Hmmm....there have to be some more options for her. Don't see why it would have to be a one-time thing or a prostitute role.
Just finesse it so that it doesn't sound rude. Something like "I'm honored that you thought of me, but if I were to be your bridesmaid, I would want to commit my all to it. And I just can't do that right now." And done.
not everyone has those side effects. I've taken it with no problems.
As soon as he learned her age, he basically called the hook up off. So I think he did the right thing. If he had previously only seen her profile pic/her standing taking an autograph, it's not inconceivable that he thought she was in her early 20s but could be younger. So he made sure.
thanks for the warning! I adore Emma Watson so much, but was going back and forth on whether I wanted to see this in theaters.
I am one...I just don't care about perfect grammar when it comes to anonymous message board posts :D
I don't know about just talk, but I'm 100 percent against asking a guy to fight another guy physically. I think it could just lead to a lot of people getting hurt especially since you don't know if the other guy has a pack of friends with him or a weapon. Most likely, it's more appropriate to go to a bouncer who has…
I'm a working journalist...honestly, even if they were just writing a blurb I think it would have been appropriate to ask the woman wearing the tutu a couple of questions. Which obviously would have been helpful given the backstory-and maybe would've even spawned a great feature! I don't think it's unethical per say,…
All of my friends and I can recall instances of being groped in clubs, it really sucks that this is so common most people don't even think to really do much about it anymore. I'm not a club person anyways, but it's certainly one of the reasons I avoid those places. Good for her for doing something about it!
ooo I want to make this
