If the product is safe, shouldn't it be up to the company to educate and convince a wary public?

Well no one who speaks German could be evil, so I may have to rethink things.
It's true, the organic label has its own issues, and says little on its own about the working conditions and compensation of the people growing/harvesting it. I do think organic is, in general, more environmentally friendly and less likely to contain harmful chemicals.
In general I am wary/skeptical of GMOs, which is not to say "anti." But it makes a huge difference in my mind or what the nature of the modification is. I want no part of the herbicide resistant stuff. A seedless watermelon? Well that's different.
And of course there is a political dimension to the whole debate as well. Do we want food that is grown by independent farmers or by peons working for the horizontally integrated chemical conglomerates who own the seed patent?
But is it just as safe? The truth is no one knows. However it has been shown that modifying one gene in many cases results in numerous further mutations that were not intended.
Glyphosate (aka Round Up) causes cancer. A lot of GMO crops are modified to be "Round Up ready." They're bad.
Bunch of reactionary motherfuckers up in here.
Nice. Haven't felt the urge to listen to it again after the first one, but I liked it. Definitely not Days Are Gone. The last two tracks were really good though, I thought.
I thought the cover of Wrecking Ball on AVC Undercover by Le Butcherettes was quite good. Although I am irrationally put off by that band using the wrong definite article in their faux-French name.
This is a biggie. Those costs are legitimately going up for businesses, and it does swallow up what otherwise might go toward raises.
Haha, I have a high tolerance for weird Dadaist bullshit (though it seems to have been unintentional in this case), but yeah, I think a few songs of that are enough.
I've never heard the Shaggs, but upvoted for the second part. Well said.
I think you're not entirely wrong that this was a problem for him during the primary, but it's kind of old news. He was fighting an uphill battle just to get name recognition among all demographics, minorities included. His favorability rating among minorities at this point though is extremely high.
Check out Camille (France), Juana Molina (Argentina), LABOUM (Korea), and Oumou Sangaré (Mali). I don't know any of the ones you mentioned but these are a pretty eclectic mix so maybe there'll be one you're into.
Didn't know about the new one though Yuk Foo is one of my favorite tracks so far this year. The new is one is very different but also fantastic. I am ridiculously excited for the new album.
Universal healthcare, $15 minimum wage, jobs guarantee, modernize public infrastructure, end the drug war/mass incarceration, break up monopolies, get rid of investor-state dispute resolution in trade treaties, etc…
Get some Hayley Kiyoko in your life.
Been listening to some Lana to get ready for her new album. Though I really like her I'd never actually gotten around to listening to her stuff in any kind of systematic manner.
I think you're halfway there but falling into the same trap you're calling out. It's not about making an emotional case that you're better than Republicans. As she alludes to, it's about having a positive plan to make people's lives better and credibly conveying that you will fight to make it a reality. They've tried…
