She's right tho.

Help! is my favorite early Beatles too, and for the exact same reason.

Does queercore imply anything about the musical genre other than LGBTQ themes and/or inclusion of the artist(s) within that group?

I honestly don't know much about his public persona but I can't hate on him since he produced what is quite possibly my favorite song ever (Tell Me Why by M.I.A.).

I think I would say it's cartoonish at times, but punctuated by some moments that are decidedly real and which leave a lasting impression of nastiness as regards the business that the characters are engaged in. The thing about the love story/writing for the Girl is reasonable criticism to an extent in that there are

Totally disagree. At best it applies to the beginning before it is steadlily subverted and, eventually, completely obliterated by the end of the movie. I don't know how you found anything about the the second half to be glamorizing crime. It made it look nightmarish and futile.

"A really willful Tarantino-aping nostalgia for glamorous crime."

Baby Driver again

This comment made me wince. I think I have PTSD from the trailers for that movie.

They are very different. For one thing, Clueless is a delightful modern classic.

Eyes Wide Shut. Duh.

Also I've seen some people say that about the Baby/Debora romance, and while I kind of get where they're coming from (there were some leaps in how their relationship developed), for me watching it the first time, I thought it was believable that they were just meant to be together and they both realized it. I dunno,

Yeah but how're you gonna have a nice pretty girl named Broken Train or Pressure Zone?

Yeah I know what you mean and that's kind of more what I had expected walking in, but man the action and the drama more than made up for the relative lack of punchy dialogue, for me.

Y'know I agree that the other movies were much funnier but this one might be better overall. This one had action and drama that was kind of like Heat crossed with Ronin crossed with True Romance and a nice little love letter to classic Motown to boot. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it.

First of all, I'll just say that reading other people's thoughts on Edgar Wright's movies on here is awesome. I really want to go back now and watch the ones I already love (Shaun, Hot Fuzz), the ones that didn't blow me away at first but probably would the second time (World's End) and ones I haven't seen before

No.

Yeah a lot of my favorite "new" stuff this year has been stuff that came out in 2016. I've been having to revise my best of list from last year quite a bit.

The soundtrack and the movie are both so good. I really love the Sky track. She knocked it out of the park.

The Waxahatchee one is not out yet. July.
