I see you AVC, tryna act like this dude's a bigger Glastonbury-related story than Jezza, the biggest rock star at the festival.

Many believe it came about as a result of The Last of the Mohicans.

I wrote this:

If you want to add one more to the list, I recently got into this artist named Hayley Kiyoko that you might want to check out. She's an up and coming pop musician who is a lesbian and likes to sing about it. One of her first big breakout songs is called Girls Like Girls. I mainly just love her for making super

That whole trilogy is great. However, if you haven't seen it, you should check out Once Upon a Time in the West. That one is fantastic.

For sure.

M.I.A. is the stage name of musician and activist Maya Arulpragasam. The video is a Q&A with students at Oxford Union about her life and her art and the state of the world.

Go on…

I watched this recent Q&A with M.I.A. at Oxford Union:

Tennis Court and 400 Lux are absolutely perfect and never fail to blow me away, but I mean it when I say that every song on that album is great. Ribs is near the top.

Great. Now I'm thinking about Trump eating spaghetti in a filthy bathtub. Thanks a lot.

Well said. I think the production on Melodrama is less remarkable to my ears than PH, but generic is probably not the right word for it. The songwriting is certainly unconventional. I honestly don't know what to make of this album. It has scrambled all of my expectations. Picasso is an interesting comparison.

Just curious, who do you put in the top echelon of recent pop?

I don't disagree.

The AV Club

It definitely is a grower. I think I probably went from like a C- to an A- B+ in the space of a week. I really didn't like it when it came out but it kind of wormed its way in and kept me coming back here and there. Eventually the cathartis of it finally clicked.

Two things!

I'm guessing it would involve one or more hats…

I do enjoy our little discussions, but you've definitely lost me.

Ok going to have to agree to disagree because I think diplomacy during the Cold War was still diplomacy despite MAD being a thing.
