@iidebaser: Yeah, no where near enough truthiness.
@iidebaser: Yeah, no where near enough truthiness.
@cc: That's what you have a laptop for. iPads are all hype, and of little real use. iPhones are at least portable.
@ImmaLion: I gave up after 14 seconds.
Clearly, if there is a shortage of CDMA chips then Apple must be behind it.
@oOINOVAIOo: Yeah two wrongs don't make a right, get a clue.
@lazaruspryor: Technically it's "perversion of pervert justice"
@techynottreky: I'm trying to figure out what's more pathetic: The fact that people think this is notable, that people think what he wears is notable or that people think who he's with is notable (apparently he was with a friend, btw).
@nman: God you're tedious. You keep on coming up with some lame add-on each time you reply. Trackpads are more accurate than mice, hands down, dun't know why you'd use mice for CAD or anything else, unless you just couldn't accept that trackpads are better, like you. Over and out.
@nman: I think I gave pretty specific reasons. I bought one on the first day it was out and retired my mice ahead of giving them away. I'll never go back it's just so much easier using the trackpad. Try reclining right back in your chair and using you mouse with your fingertip or a clicking your mouse with one finger.
@tamoko: It's different and that's a blessing given the amazing mindless sameness of most cases (why do we need 2 x floppy drive openings in this day and age?, I don't even use optical drives), but it doesn't seem to be the most efficient way to or cool or package the computer bits so it makes me wonder if its just…
@zaxwashere: Why indeed.
@Applerain: I use 3 1080p screens for coding, its very very useful.
@nman: Because "crappy" trackpads don't require any lifting, are very accurate, take the least space, don't need a particular surface, do kinetic scrolling (and other useful gestures) and they're consistent with what you use on a laptop.
@tamoko: Did you mean "This thing is for dopes"? It's ugly and way overpriced. There're no accounting for taste, but $800? For a metal box?
@A.Jaswal: The problem with the current design in that application is that the feet need to be on something hard because they are what "click".
@Deekle: Are you a fanboy and did you really mean "my chicken"?
@A.Jaswal: What's so awesome about limiting your trackpad to one position. They both have rubber feet and stay put when you put them on a desk. I have both and put them next to each other and it was just annoying. Your fingers tend to touch the pad when you type and use the shift key, for example.
@38thsignal: If only, I live near Cupertino, I'd eat there every day if that were the case. But only if they had magic cupcakes too.
@38thsignal: Maybe they're just taken to hyping everything these days, including job listings. Their canteen lunches are probably listed "magical" and "revolutionary".
@John Eusebio: The things they called magical instead.
