But the outrage is pretty much all based on what you said in the final paragraph. Everything you said before that is rather meaningless.

Until you realize the fact that barely anyone will ever buy a product from this dev or Sean Murray ever again. Then that strategy looks pretty fucking stupid.
Well he did promise things that aren’t in the game or was very vague about things leading people to build their own hype. It seems to me he’s not that experienced in doing that sort of thing lol but ultimately, regardless of what gamer’s were promised or hype they built up on their own, their expectations of the game…
A month before the game launched they were showing video footage with tons of stuff not in the actual game.
The thing that yourself and so many others don’t seem to understand is that it wasn’t hype. Hype is when fans extrapolate promised features into some idealised exaggeration of the game in their minds and then get disappointed when it doesn’t meet those standards.
That’s NOT what happened here.
Sean Murray explicitly…
Now I’m pissed again. I implore everyone who played this game to read the description STILL posted on Steam.
“I understand some of the criticisms especially Sean Murray is getting, because he sounded like he was promising more features in the game from day one,” Yoshida said.
Sorry to interrupt your rant, but I was there and nothing came within 1/5th the noise Stipe generated from the home crowd. The crowd noise the UFC pumps in the PPV is not in any way reflective of reality.
“There’s still so much to explore and cool new things are still getting discovered every day,” Steambot said.
It’s also on Deadspin now. The most recent stories on a sports blog are:
What a dumbfuck. DO NOT open-carry a fucking airsoft gun in public, even if it’s in a jurisdiction where you can open-carry real guns, not even if the whole bloody thing is spraypainted blaze orange... Just DON’T FUCKIN DO IT.
I figured at a young age that painting a real gun’s tip with bright colorful paint should also be really easy. Never actually tried, tho.
Would you rather people be desensitized to seeing assault rifles in people’s hands in public for when the next maniac decides to go on a killing spree?
You don’t appear to know what the word “liberal” means.
Idiot could have transported it in a carry case
HAH! “Liberal Utopia”!? New York?
Don’t care if you’re cosplaying—you don’t bring something that looks like a goddamned rifle on mass transit. Or even to a f*cking movie theater. Have we not learned these goddamned lessons yet?
