The real question is what is your time worth and do you truly enjoy the hunt for obscure parts? For instance, I enjoy wrenching, but am not a huge fan of finding parts. I will take my savings in the labor hours and just buy the potentially pricier stuff online vs hitting 14 different junk yards.

The painkiller addiction start precisely in the manner you described. Lazy/Careless/Pliant doctors over-prescribe pain pills and the patient eats them up because there can’t be anything wrong with something a doctor gave them. The patient then becomes addicted and that’s that.

Okay, so tell me what I have wrong. The OP’s post implies doing the entire bottle of Oxy regardless of pain because Oxy is fun. I am stating that you should only use Oxy if you absolutely need it. Since that is how the majority of heroin users get addicted to opiates, I would imagine I know exactly what I am talking…

This is horrible advice. You use painkillers when you absolutely need them. If you are not in serious pain, do not take them. Try not to take them at all if possible.
