@lurkerbynature: both. Don't get me wrong, I love a baked head of garlic, and some garlicy humous, but when you ad large amounts of it to every dish, cooked or raw, the garlic loses it's charm and the food loses it's flavor. #vegetariancooking

Add to the list - Vegetarian food lacks flavor.
@hamburgerhotdog: Not in my house. Maybe I have a cast iron stomach, but I eat piles of veggies and no meat and haven't had a problem since I started several years ago. My husband on the other hand is simultaneously a meat eater and a fart machine. (but I still wuv him) #vegetariancooking
@winner: That AA ad is the most heinous thing I've seen in a long time. As if I needed another reason to hate them. #antmblackface
@JLady: I was thinking the same thing. Assuming that white is some sort of "default race" creates a basis for racism against others. And a white woman with bronzer on just looks like a white woman with bronzer on. #antmblackface
@intime: You said it yourself - humans are omnivores. We are animals with the ability to reason, and the means to choose food based on more than past history, or what happens to be in front of our face at the moment.
@tedesco2: Or vegetarianism isn't for the lazy...unless you're rich. #natalieportman
@msAnthrope: Amen. Although I do agree that people often don't have choices in what they eat. Many inner city people don't have access to fresh vegetables. Still, a meal of rice and beans (which I have had many of) is super cheap and can be got just about anywhere. #natalieportman
@GoldenRatioφ (aka -girl11): Yeah, I think was she was trying to compare to rape was factory farming - in which billions of animals live and die in inhumane conditions. Billions.
@scarlet1815 is a Slutty Feminist: It does undercut it significantly, which is sad because I think she has some really good points. But, all I could think of was, "well, she doesn't think rape is that bad, so what does she mean by this comparison?" #natalieportman
@pickles: Now that you mention it....who goes barefoot in parka weather? #jennifergarner
I had an amazing conversation with a friend about this book after we watched Ehrenreich on The Daily Show the other day. It was like a veil being pulled back to reveal a truth that had been turned on it's head. The notion that being positive would lead to good things, as if some sort of magic were at play. It was like…
So that's what a cruller is..... #badvertising
When this show was on Bravo it seemed to be more real and more serious. Less personal politics, more sewing. Maybe I'm wrong, but this season it seems to be spiraling downward into a more heavily edited (and possibly scripted) reality show. Like the bitchy confessional sessions with Irena that seem apropos of nothing.…
@funnyface: I don't mind so much that she's bitchy, but that she's usually completely wrong in her trash-talking assessments of other designers creations. It seems like her criticisms come out of personal insecurity and not well-reasoned critiques. #projectrunwayseason6
@Nuckin Futz for you: I thought it was because I'm old. I'm not ready to be behind the times! #comments
@Apollonia: I don't think Thomas was talking about whether bloggers had their minds in the right place, rather that "news" blogs often mix opinion and fact. Although the piece doesn't cover it, the same can be said for many mainstream media outlets these days.
Shazam!!!
Regarding the term "blackface", I think there's a real difference between a white person putting dark makeup on, and blackface. Traditional blackface was intended to parody African Americans. I don't think that playing with identity in this way is the same thing. The same goes for men who dress up as women. When it's…
@roxythekiller: Silly rabbit. Roofies don't rape people, people rape people.
